Kanter's pretty wide and strong. I think he should be ok playing the 5. 6-10 250 isn't too bad for a center. Hopefully he measures out well at the combine.

I think Kanter draws a lot of comparison to Al Horford because he is an undersized, but capable center. He won't be playing PF in the NBA and by no means does he play like a 4. I would be pleased with a Davis-Kanter frontcourt going forward.

I really hope we can trade up with Cleveland. Bargnani and the 3rd pick for Antawn Jamison and the 1st pick..

Or we can just win the lottery. I really want Irving, he is exactly what this team needs.

I think Kanter is a center in todays NBA.

Yeah, I suppose you guys could be right. But I guess of main concern for me is if we take Kanter and for whatever reason Bargnani doesn't end up getting traded. I could then see them playing Kanter and Bargnani together and stunting Davis's development by putting him on the bench.

The only thing about that is that I'd like at least one 7-foot bigman in my platoon rotation. Kanter/Davis/Amir is a little undersized for my liking, even if I don't mind Davis/Kanter starting. Amir would then have to be moved for height IMO.

Yup. That's exactly what will happen.

If we dropped in the lottery, I'd have to say that we are f*cked.

I think we better get one of kanter, irving, or williams(or i'm calling out the nba, cavaliers and raptors absolutely deserve the top 2 picks imho)
What other teams in top 10 could/would make a trade for a roster player+1st round pick for bargnani? If we can get biyambo and kanter, we just became a defensive team from a fake offensive team imo.

Default UK Brandon Knight declares for draft

Be crazy not to given Barnes and others are returning.

Must have moved up 3- 5 notches from his pre tourney ranking of 12

--

Knight averaged 17.3 points at point guard and proved to be one of the best clutch performers in the country. The 6-foot-3 Knight hit a pair of game-winning shots during the team's NCAA tournament run. His driving lay-up helped Kentucky escape an upset bid by Princeton in the second round and his pull-up jumper with 5 seconds left allowed the Wildcats to knock off top-seeded Ohio State in the regional semifinals.

"Playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine and this is the next step," Knight said. "All season long coach has been tutoring me on the fine points of being a point guard, and now I have an opportunity to put my game on display in front of NBA scouts as a result of my hard work."

Knight's 657 points were the most by a Kentucky freshman and he also broke the school's freshman 3-point record by knocking down 87 3s.

This looks like it might happen anyway. Didn't BC just come out and say we needed a traditional 5 to play beside Bargs! So that basically means that Davis, our lottery pick with upside won't be starting anytime soon and the big deal to Amir was for what purpose?

BC needs to move on in a hurry.

The re-signing of Reggie Evans is probably already in the works. Don't worry.

Ed Davis will be lucky to see 20 mpg next year at this rate.

Nobody is slightly interested in drafting Brandon Knight if Irving is off the board? This kid is no slouch either..

I hope so, if Evans stays healthy next year we're a lock for the playoffs!

I wouldn't be upset with Knight, but I think I'd rather Kanter, and then maybe go after a PG in the next draft when we have a high pick again. Austin Rivers or Myck Kabongo?

Knight plays like a combo guard who can't shoot. His handles are not very good for a point guard. He had lots of turnovers. He shot a low percentage. He had trouble breaking down the D off the dribble.

His shooting in the tournament:

6-23 against UCONN
7-18 against UNC
3-10 against Ohio St.
9-20 against WV (his best game)
1-8 against Princeton
5-14 against Florida
4-11 against Alabama
5-15 against Tennesse
5-15 against Ole Miss
5-14 against Vanderbilt

I'd rather keep Bayless.
