Default Knicks play much better without Billups - Coincidence or not ?

I opened the same thread on the main forum but I decided to open it here as well.

3-pt: 20-52 (38.5%)

LANDRY FIELDS

Rebounds: 5.2

FG: 37-95 (38.9%)
3-pt: 17-43 (39.5)

WITHOUT BILLUPS
(4-2)

AMARE STOUDEMIRE
Minutes: 36.2
Points: 30.7 (0.85 points per minute)
Rebounds: 6.7
FG: 73-135 (54.1%)

CARMELO ANTHONY

FG: 53-107 (49.5%)
3-pt: 9-19 (47.3%)

LANDRY FIELDS
Minutes: 32.2
Points: 13.8 (0.43 points per minute)
Rebounds: 4.8
Assists: 2.8
FG: 30-50 (60.0%)

First of all,Knicks have better record without Billups.
All three players shoot so much better without Billups.
Stoudemire shoots 7.9% better.
Melo shoots 6.6% better from the field,8.8% better from the three point line.
Fields shoots 21.1% better from the field, 7.8% better for three.

On top of that,Melo averages 4.8 assists without Billups.
That's 2.5 assists more despite the fact he plays 3 minutes less.

Stoudemire is a beast without Billups,30.7 points per game on 54% shooting while he averages only 21.3 points per game with Billups on 46.2% shooting.

Our 3 best players are playing so much better and efficient without Billups.

Also I will show you our offensive and defensive stats with and without him.

WITH BILLUPS:
Points per game: 102.4
Points allowed per game: 105.5
Difference: -3.1

WITHOUT BILLUPS:
Points per game: 110.7
Points allowed per game: 105
Difference +5.7

I think you wasted alot of typing with this one guy.

Billups is not a playmaker, but plays for a coach who needs a playmaker to have a successful offense.

He has always been better OFF THE BALL, and when he can slow the game down, another coach/player mismatch.

Douglas also isn't a playmaker but we were much better with him at the point guard spot.

Billups destroy our flow of the game,we are much worse on defense when he is in and makes many questionable decisions (tough threes late in the game)

Now its Billups fault the Knicks are losing...

Was this a thread made because of the Fan/1050? Been listening to this stuff since Billups been back. They have to make shows based on entertainment and things to talk about.

Well,it surely isn't only his fault but he plays really bad and he is one of the main reasons for our struggles.
I don't think it's a coincidence that we play much better without him.
He doesn't attack the basket,he doesn't find open teammates.
That leads to contested shots which leads to less percentage of makes and therefore less points made.

I don't know what is Fan/1050 because obviously I'm not from the USA.
I just noticed that we suck with Billups in the game and went to nba.com to check stats.
I found out that our 3 best players are shooting much better when Billups isn't playing.

Maybe he is injured, maybe he just sucks.

But he has been terrible lately and you don't need to be something special to see that.

But I still blame D'Antoni the most.
