Having the 2nd seed would be great (which I think will happen). Even better would be the first seed.

What are you talking about? The Heat are finally getting their act together since they lost to the Blazers. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games. They beat the Lakers, Spurs, Grizzlies, Nuggets, 12-3 Rockets, and Sixers.

Miami's playoff performance is enormously difficult to predict. Their stats vs CHI and BOS in the regular season just isn't enough to go by. Miami's play has been so erratic this season one doesn't know what they'll be like in 2 or 3 weeks in general let alone in playoff games.

Chicago is a bit easier to predict but still hard to know how much of their recent performance is a "run" and how much is sustainable. Can Rose keep it up? Can Deng keep knockin down those jumpers?

Boston's play would've been very easy to predict had the Perkins trade not happened. Now I dunno what to really expect out of them. Perkins' defensive intelligence was always underrated. Altho Boston's recent struggles are also coinciding with Rondo's poor play.

The number 1 seed gets an enormous advantage as they only have to play one of the other two teams. The 2 and 3 have to play both. I think that will be a big factor. I really like Chicago's chances because of this reason. But if Miami's erratic mood swing is an upswing for 2 series (he you never know) than I like their chances. I don't like Boston's chances.

Even if Miami can beat Boston, I don't see them beating Chicago. Though Miami won't lose in the first round no matter who they play, Philly is more likely to give them a hard time than the Knicks.
