I don't get those penalties seeing as Z was the one who instigated the whole thing by unnecessarily elbowing Wall in the head multiple times.

The first few were within the guise of swinging his arms to clear space, but by the 3rd and 4th elbows he was just elbow jabbing Wall in the head, which is as bad as a punch and the source of the whole problem in the first place...

This gesture indicates "up your ass."

In Iraq this is indicating the thumbs up gesture. Which led a lot of our troops to misjudge the approval of the Iraqi people. I'm not kidding about that.

NBA contracts have guaranteed and incentive parts. Missing a game can very well mean you lost a few k off your incentive parts. Here's an example

actually you are right.... i am very tired of the race card, but what I am most fatigued by is the racial tension that still continues to pop up in any situation involving more than one ethnic and racial group.(ex. 2010 dorito superbowl commercial, it was obviously made for humorous discussion but videos like this tend to turn into a heated racial war...... and it's annoying)

I think the fine on Big Z is because he blatantly smashed Wall in the face with two elbows

I like John Wall. I think he's going to be one of the biggest stars in the league, but he needs to control his temper.

You know what, now that I think of it... why should the league be able to fine people over shit like this? It's not like the league LOST any money off of this... if anything, fights cause controversy which fans find exciting, which EARNS them money in the long run. So why should they get EXTRA money out of this? It didn't cost them anything at all.

If only the NBA were more like the NHL, and just let them duke it out with referees moderating the whole thing... we'd see who the REAL ******* of the league are... and people like Wall would be a bit more careful about picking fights with people like Big Z because the "nice guys" of the league might not be as hesitant to punch back.
