i don't even know why DW would come out with this unless it's a sure thing. what if condit beats gsp? gsp hasn't fought in a year and a half. it's just another thing that could cause backlash if condit wins (enter condit taking a dive conspiracies here)....

who even knows what gsp looks like? he's coming off an ACL tear, not a minor knee sprain. that's a serious injury for any athlete and gsp is a guy that relies on his strength, explosiveness and balance. then there's the whole octagon rust thing. guys that haven't fought in a year or more rarely ever look like their former self. he's never fought at MW but we're going to start talking about him taking on the champ?

what happens to diaz vs. gsp potentially? meanwhile, weidman is itching for a fight. don't want to give him silva? fine. give the dude a fight though. he's pretty much said he's ready to go and it's not like he took major damage vs. munoz.

Sure Anderson vs. St. Pierre is a super fight, but I'm not sure MMA has a reached the popularity enough to fill Cowboy Stadium.

Maybe if the UFC decides to put on a decent co-main event and a decent under card they could do a decent number, but if they put a card heavily relied on Anderson vs. St. Pierre, then I doubt they'll be able to fill Cowboy Stadium.

This was shown on Inside MMA this week and I thought this was awkwardly hilarious and that I would share it with you guys.

This is just like backyard wrestling, but with MMA.

damn i thought Ninja was retired because he could no longer get medically cleared to fight? For those who dont know he fought Sergei Khartinov at Heavy weight got KO'd and his brain swelled so it was aleading cause for him not to fight at a high level anymore.

it's a shame when two accomplished and famous MMA'ers like the rua brothers keep fighting in to relative middle age. i keep hoping that they retire and stay involved in the sport by running their own gyms / dojos / coaching, but neither has probably made remotely the kind of money that their contemporaries in other sports did. that's one large factor, anyway.

i never liked ninja that much, filho on the other hand was probably the best middleweight in the world before his mess and breakdown in the wec. filho's story may be one of the saddest stories in sports history, not just in mma history. he had the potential to be the greatest middleweight in the history of mma, but he ruined it by not looking for help at the right time. he just kept abusing drugs and pain killers and that brought him down to the point of deep depression and contemplating suicide. sad, sad story. hopefully one day he'll come clean on all of this.

i'm not sure anymore if i'm following MMA or a 10-year soap opera storyline...

.

daniel cormier wants a piece of jon jones:

jon jones angers big fan in tito ortiz:

jon jones to dan henderson: "you should shut up and be grateful you dodged a bullet":

matt mitrione wants to fight 'arrogant' jones:

UFC 151 cancellation was at least a $40 million hit for all parties involved:

not looking forward to belfort being destroyed. how's that going to repair any of the damage? and supreme a-hole dana white says that machida won't get the next shot 'as a form of punishment.' so... what, then? jones gets another rematch against someone he's already destroyed, or is reluctantly forced to take on another outclassed middleweight, i.e. sonnen?

dude cannot possibly move to heavyweight fast enough for me.

John Makdessi vs. Sam Stout at UFC 154.

Jorgen Kruth who was scheduled to fight Fabio Maldonado has decided to retire and Cyrille Diabate will step in as a replacement for Kruth against Maldonado at UFC 154.

Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares at UFC on FX 6.

This World Series of Fighting has potential to be really good. Why is no one talking about it? They have Miguel Torres, Ronnys Torres, Gesias Cavalcante, Bobby Lashley, Gerald Harris, Josh Burkman and will be airing their first card on NBC Sports.

Also TPF 14 is streaming right now on Sherdog. TPF usually puts on good cards, I've only seen the Andre Fili vs. Ricky Wallace fight and Fili looked like a really solid fighter. Marcos Rosales has done a bad job referring the fights according to everyone on the Sherdog message board and to the commentators reactions. Brad McDonald vs. Art Aciniega is about to start now. Still 2 title fights to go, Georgi Karakhanyan vs. Micah Miller for the featherweight title and Casey Olson vs. Ian Loveland for the bantamweight title. both title fights could be really, really good.
