All I know is that I've lost respect for GSP over this nonsense. He's trying to push some absolute BS that Nick is the #1 contender and that it's the fight fans want to see. They wanted GSP/Silva, so drop that nonsense, too. Nick got under your skin? So fucking what. Make him chase you. Make him earn his way to have a chance at you. Make him work for it. Don't just hand it to him on a silver platter (which shows how easy it is to get to you and, makes people question your mental toughness even more). He certainly doesn't deserve it and Hendricks certainly doesn't deserve to be screwed over. It furthers pushes the idea that earning your way to a title shot means nothing and that you can talk your way into a title shot like it's the WWE or something.
He's going to look like a damned fool if he loses. I like GSP and all, and really dislike Diaz, but a part of me kind of wants to see Nick win.

dana will enforce it one way when there's obvious money to be made, and swing a different way if money is a wash. most fighters probably have their preferences as to who they'd like to fight, so GSP is hardly unique in asking for someone. the difference is, dana white and dollar signs.
fans and the media can bring this kind of thing up all day, but white will just bully them if they're media or simply insult and dismiss them if they're fans. or vice-versa. it's a fine line, i guess, or maybe a big blur.
I still rather have these bad match ups than ever watch womens MMA, I can't understand why they would bring it to the UFC. Do people really enjoy watching women fight, to me its just gross.
I''m not a Mir fan, but I've been looking forward to a Barnett vs. Mir fight for a while. That's a perfect return fight for Barnett which I think he has a good chance to win.
man... it would be awesome if cain finds a way to win. but...
i'm not a big junior fan, but little by little i'm starting to resent the crowd that feel he's still unproven and "shaky" as the HW king. IMO the dude is a badass, swift-footed punching beast who's nightmarish to take down and more dangerous off his back then ever (just earned his BB in BJJ).
cain is an awesome fighter full of heart and tremendous intensity, but his biggest flaws play a whole lot in to JDS game IMO.
I think those two are both on another level in the heavyweight division. Hopefully they both come to this fight healthy and are able to put on a show.
With that being said I think they are both dangerous and both would win 5 out of 10 times. I think if Cain can come out really aggressive and catch JDS off guard he'll have a good shot of putting him on his back. And only god knows how JDS will handle that situation. But I personally think JDS will win because he's never been in any trouble or had any difficulty with an opponent. But Cain is a different animal and I know he's too smart to come out like he did last time and try and strike with JDS.
It could go either way. It will depend on who is the better man that night.
