I had a feeling Cain would win the rematch but not like this. This was an absolute beatdown. Can't wait for the rubber match...
The huge overhand right in the first round was what did JDS in, but he willed himself to the end so huge props on that. Huge props to Cain who dominated one of the most dangerous men in MMA.
BTW what a shitty fvcking crowd that was, they actually booed JDS during his postfight interview...
Am I the only one who found that fight completely disturbing and almost unwatchable? When the long term effects of this shit come out some of these guys are going to be ****ing vegetables
Those last 3 rounds were really bad.
there was a alot of weak ass wrestle****ing going on tonight.
well, junior did not come out crisply at all. i think he was expecting the onslaught from cain and went in to a more defensive mode early. if he had just fenced in and out with the bombs as usual, i can't help feeling that he would have been better served.
but great heart and resilience and second wind by junior. i thought for sure he was finished a couple times.
cain, i was a little surprised to see how tired he got by the end. but working for all those takedowns is obviously exhausting.
This fight was alot closer than most people think.
Cain fought at a godly pace, Anderson Silva would lose if he fought against a guy that takedown attempt pace and punching power. JDS has a strange ability to get back onto his feet like a cat. He also can stuff multiple chains in a takedown attempt. It reminds me of a old Chuck Liddell. People seem to not count takedown defense once the fighter is taken down once.
I think the third fight is gonna be alot closer than people think especially if JDS closes that gap in cardio. This was the modern version of the classic "Ground and Pounder" vs "Sprawl and Brawler"
WTF? Cain was bombing him with punches... it takes away your energy bruh
This was halfway through the 1st round before he took too much damage. He was already dropping his hands and looking tired after stuffing the takedowns and just Cain chasing him around the cage.
