Well damn, I know I defended MMA scoring to an extent (it was to an extent!), but damn, I'm really not liking what I've seen lately (LFC 19 on Friday and the TUF finale that was just on). Apparently, takedown still = win. Here I thought the judging was getting better. What a fool I was... It's not getting any better, it's still lazy judging. Takedown = win.
Kelvin landed 0 strikes, but the judges said he won because of nothing but a takedown in the 3rd. He lost the striking, even got outstruck from Uriah when he was on bottom, got reversed twice and got busted up under his eye, but somehow won? I just rewatched the fight and I still don't know how Kelvin won (outside of takedown = win).
sir i agree with you

how you gonna out-wrestle an olympic grade wrestler in order to slap on your BJJ locks?
how you gonna beat him on the feet when you're passive and slow that way, and he's worlds' quicker, craftier and more-effective as a boxer?
tell me frank tell me pls
Mir is actually a huge f*ck that has gotten really strong in the later part of his career, and Cormier is like 5'10", he is definitely capable of blasting Cormier with a knee, all he has to do is lean back to avoid a haymaker and throw his knee up at the same and it would be at Cormier's face. And Mir has arguably the best MMA jits of all time in terms of attacking, he is definitely capable of submitting anyone.
Not saying it's gonna happen, he'll most likely get beat to death at this point in his career, but I could see Mir getting blasted by a punch and getting dropped and grabbing a limb in a scramble, or something similar.
