I guess they are gonna be right one of these days.

Fedor eventually lost and Anderson eventually got caught while taunting.

Oldschool GSP was so exciting to watch, like a WW version of Aldo with wrestling, he used to throw lot of kicks/knees/judo flips. Now it's a lot more "refined" and methodical.

iíve never been a particular fan of GSP, but his fights are fascinating to me. which i find exciting.

i donít quite get why so many bloodsport fans like him, tho. i guess because of his earlier career.

Chris Weidman: "You have no idea what is going to happen when you get into the Octagon. If you have any insecurities at all, [Anderson Silva] will expose that -- he's going to bring them out and make you pay. He'll put his hands down, he'll put his hands on his hips, he'll talk and make you feel like you don't belong in the Octagon with him. I knew what he was doing. I just had to remain mentally strong and confident. And that's what I did. I was prepared [for the clowning], but I did react. I was like, 'How dare you, you're doing this to me?' Are you joking? I had that attitude. I'm like, 'You're not even hitting me -- you're taunting and taunting. Hit me in the face, I don't care!' That was my attitude, but then it got to the point where I'm throwing punches until I land and crack him. And that's how I finished the fight."

Y'all can complain all you want. It's just his style of fighting now, it might not be that interesting to watch, but he's successful with it, right? It's one of the keys of fighting -- to not get hurt ... & If you're gonna complain about it & act like you know somethin' ... feel free to start your own MMA career and see how far you get

you know i just realised jones - overeem could be an interesting fight. both the same height, both start3d at LHW, wildly different styles, both a bit arrogant, both interesting personalities, both want to be HW champ.

WTF he seriously let himself go. Put down the donuts man.

I liked the younger, hungry, reserved Jones so much more, he turned into a more talkative, sensitive guy in past few years. That twitter and social media got into his head, he is like a teenage girl now.

Went from this...

To that guy in previous post.

Didnt Jones **** up his toe? Probably means he hasnt been training

Most fighters get out of shape when they dont have a fight lined up anyway.

Alot of fighters that fight in MW and LHW divisions reach the HW range when they are out of camp.

disagree w/ all of that. training is part of your life as a high-level fighter. squandering training time is letting others catch up to you, because MMA is constantly progressing and youíre scratching and clawing for the pay to do it in public.

fighters donít typically get bigger because theyíre letting themselves go. theyíre bigger because theyíre not dehydrating and not shedding muscle mass to reach weight.

Im sure they are training year round but not to the intensity of when they are preparing for a fight.
I remember GSP saying when he is out of camp he isnt training for a fight, he is training to learn new things and improve.

Guys like Rampage and Silva blow up to heavyweight range when they are out of camp. Fighters generally has three phases in their weight. They have the out of camp weight, top shape weight and obviously the weight they have to make for their intended division.

agree, but in order to train technique you canít just let your body go. you have to have a very good idea whatís going to work for you and what isnít on the big stage. that means being as reasonably close to fighting condition as possible.

those who donít tend to get weeded out by the process. except for super-talented, super-dominant types like jon jones.

agree, iím just saying that adding that much fat is more unusual than not. out of camp weight doesnít just mean letting your body go. theyíre still professional fighters with reputations, fanbases and often students and sponsors.
