A few years ago, I really really REALLY wanted to see Arona and Alex Emelianenko in the UFC...too bad though. Aoki should give cage fighting another chance too.

This was the first season of TUF that I haven't watched in full in a long time. I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes and no more. I wasn't interested in the fighters, the stuff in the house was idiotic and Rousey was unbearable to watch.

It's a shame because I thought the Sonnen/Jones TUF was one of the best they've ever done.

Look, once you get to know them really well, then that's when you get hooked. This season did not live up to the expectation, but it's still entertaining. But that is up to you.

Anyway, Chinzo Machida makin' was makin' it rain earlier tonight. Ouch.

jones got his ass kicked and is still nursing injuries from that fight.

i can understand why he's talking like this. one moment he's having fun whipping people... living large... basking in his fame. suddenly he takes the beating of his life, looks like a horror show, and is in pain for months afterwards.

didn't see that one coming, didja jonesy?

I don't blame Jones. IMO, MMA will start to become more of a younger fighters sport with the occasional exceptions (if it isn't already). There is no need for guys like Jones and GSP to be fighting into their mid or late 30's when they are already multi-millionaires.

When you are as marketable as they are, they'll be able to make money in other ways and not continue to take beatings that will affect their quality of life later on. I can totally understand the best fighters "leaving on top" before they hit an obvious decline in their skills compared to others.

that's the other side of it, and i totally agree.

i get that it can be very hard to walk away, though. once fighting gets in your blood, there's nothing like it to replace it with... pretty much the ultimate combination of sports and violence.

Dana called GSP the morning after the fight and apologized for being a dumbass. Said he rewatched the fight and indeed thought GSP was the winner.

Personally, I think the guy loves to make an ass of himself... but to each their own.

I remember during the post-fight conference, he said he only gave GSP round 3 which stupid since he also clearly won round 5. Dana just gets a bit too heated after these things.

i think what he's addicted to is being passionate and self-righteous... using those moments to try to look like a big man, influence other peoples' opinions and push his loud-mouthed agendas.

it must have worked for him more than a few times along the way, but he seems to think it's the way to go 99% of the time, now.

scorched earth, burned bridges... he never seems to learn the lesson.

Well said. I think that's what makes the guy so lovable. he's real, relatable, and pretty much a troll like the rest of us.

Some lulzy stuff:
