Gus probably was a little ahead up until late 4th round...
that's where JJ won the fight...late 4th JJ grinded it out....and did more damage won the round and the fight.
amazing fight....both guys showed pure heart.
I agree. Gus took the 1st round. Rounds 2 and 3 were a total toss-up, IMO. I gave 2 to Jones, 3 to Gus. Gus was winning the 4th until the elbow and that changed the fight. Jones did more damage in that round and took it then, IMO, clearly won round 5 as well.
Glover Teixeira upset over talk of Jones vs Gustafsson II, but willing to fight someone else...
"Even I want to watch that fight again, but it's hard to say I'm okay with it, because I worked so hard to get this opportunity. I felt like I had my hands right there on the chance, and now they're going to take it away from me, and who knows for how long? It could be a year from now. It's really upsetting to me. There's no way I'm just going to sit around. I'm healthy. I'm good. I had a few minor injuries before the fight with Bader, but nothing major, and we're getting it taken care of. I could be ready to fight in three or four months, and I don't want to wait. If they're going to do this rematch, then I want to get in there and fight someone else. I want that title shot. That's all I want. I'll sit back and wait and cross my fingers."
Daniel Cormier wants Roy Nelson to get rid of the beard and plans to file a formal complaint prior to their UFC 166 fight. Dana White too joins DC in his war against Roy Nelson's facial hair...
"I don't want that nasty thing rubbing on my face either if I was in a fight. I hate that whole, 'you can grow a beard down to here and still fight in MMA thing.' You know? It's not even allowed in boxing, and they don't go to the ground and have side control. Who would want that thing laying on their face? Seriously? That long, nasty, ratty looking thing in your mouth, rubbing on your face. It's ridiculous. They shouldn't be allowed to have beards that big. Trim it down and make it look normal. You know? It's disgusting."
