yea GSP's doing that Tim Sylvia patented stand and jab shit now.

I haven't enjoyed a fight from GSP since the second Hughes fight. Nig needs to step up his game, watch some Nick Diaz tapes for inspiration

Damn. Pettis had his one big shot when he got Guida's back there in the 3rd. I was really hoping he would get a sub there but looks like Guida will take the decision. I don't mind Guida but I don't think he's a serious contender for the title.

Great fight though. This is exactly the type of non-title fight that I wish could go 5 rounds.

I don't normally complain about lay n pray, and I think the term gets overused, but that was pure LnP by Guida. He literally did nothing after the take downs except those little shoulder strikes. He looked scared of getting tapped more than anything and was just milking clock. Sad. I am glad to see the Pettis hype train die down though.

Hope that shit talker Ferguson gets KOd here.

No surprise that Tony won there. He looked dominant in the house. I expected him to easily win the striking battle and Ramsey to look for takedowns but Tony looked pretty good on those takedowns and even controlled him on the ground a bit. Ramsey looked tired after that flurry he threw. They were the two best fighters on the show so I'm glad they made it to the finals. Tony looks like a damn solid striker.

No way. Did you see Ramsey's face and how he totally lost his legs after that shot? The ref saved him from a brutal beating.

Miguel Torres tweeted

@MiguelTorresMMA: Lay-n-Pray is a motherfu*ker, enter the Ultimate Wrestling Championships.

@MiguelTorresMMA: Yo @ShowPettis, welcome to the @UFC. What a bi*ch huh.

Same. I get that with the current rules it's a viable strategy that can lead to wins so I won't complain about guys like Fitch or <insert anyone who is fighting Dan Hardy> because they are exploiting an opponents weakness. But in this fight, Pettis seemed to be far more active off the ground and seemingly got no credit for it.

Great fight? I was disappointed that Guida fought one of the most entertaining fighters out there (there's a good reason why his nickname is Showtime) and turned it into a fairly boring fight.

More from watching Pettis on the ground try a bunch of things. I was barely paying attention to Guida.

Yeah, Pettis surely was trying to make it entertaining, but Guida's boringness was a bit too much for me. I guess I just came in with my expectations too high.

Nick Diaz Vacates the Strikeforce WW title.Possibly setting up a Woodley vs Daley fight.

125 pound division coming to UFC

All main events after Rashad vs Davis will now be 5 rounds even if there are no titles on the line.

I'm not liking the new 5 round rule. It means some fights will end up with 66% extra time based purely on sell-ability. I imagine training and game planning for a 5 round fight is much different from a 3 rounder. With the number of cards being put out now, there have been some amazingly weak main and co-main events. Two more rounds of that? I dunno, it seems kind of messy and WWE like to me.

It's very rare that a matchup actually deserves 5 rounds, title or not. Ugh two more rounds of wrestle-boxing or lay-n-pray or counter punchers punching air? I dunno man. I'm actually in favor of maybe doing an overtime format where there's a fourth round in the face of a draw.
