If Overeem gets cleared he'll probably end up fighting Velasquez and the winner of that fight fights Dos Santos next for the UFC Heavyweight Title similar to the St. Pierre, Diaz, Condit UFC Welterweight Title situation and such.

Cant wait, Overeem will rejp any heavyweight man....

If it's not fair to JDS, I don't see how it would be fair to Cain.
If the hearing didn't factor into the decision to maintain JDS-AO, then the decision shouldn't suddenly matter, you know?
Alistaire needs to test clean for awhile to deserve another fight IMO. Even if he's cycling, just cycle properly to beat the tests- not too much to ask, is it? Because that's essentially two tests in a row he's now failed.
The whole situation is just nonsensical, although maybe I'm in the minority in feeling that way.

That actually makes it seem even MORE like the Diaz/GSP/Condit situation then IMO, with Reem being in the Diaz position. Think about it and it's pretty damn similar. UFC WANTS to keep Diaz in the title picture but he kept completely blowing it, first by skipping out on the mandatory appearances/press conference, then by (gasp) failing a drug test. UFC wanted Reem in the title picture but he keeps blowing it. First by skipping out out the country before his Lesnar test then by (gasp) failing a drug test. Meanwhile Condit and Cain are just working hard and being kept wondering what's next for them while UFC sorts things out with the boneheads.

true. well, there's both similarities and differences, i guess.
it's weird- i'm pretty irritated by diaz in general, but other than him being a knucklehead, there's no way in hell i think weed plays any significant cheating role in MMA, so i definitely want him reinstated and fighting. whereas with AO, i definitely like him and like how he conducts himself, but the idea that he doesn't juice is probably pie in the sky, which means he really shouldn't be fighting, as hard as that is to admit.
one is basically gaming the system in front of everyone and the other is being tripped up over the most petty of technicalities. yet both are looking at what, one year suspensions?
With Dos Santos fighting Mir now, Velasquez will be fighting Werdum. If Overeem can still get cleared for a fight, it will be Velasquez vs. Overeem and Werdum vs. Russow as it was originally scheduled to occur.
cain fighting antonio bigfoot silva on may 26 card
Thus, yet another well-constructed matchup hosed, yet another new fight that doesn't make nearly as much sense. That's three of one and two and counting of the other.
Might as well just get ten guys together in the octagon and add nine chairs and a fiddler. At least once the dust settled there'd be a chance of some super-awesome fights accidentally being formed, like Nelson - Hunt, etc.
Nick Newell is an awesome inspiring fighter. Now talk about an inspiring story. He's a one arm MMA fighter and he's currently undefeated 7-0. It's super cool watching a one armed fighter beating other by submission with Heel Hooks, Rear Naked Chokes and Armbars.
Overeem has been denied his license can reapply after 9 months, was watching the stream, they actually commended him for being intelligent and honest, some dude even said he was handsome rofl. Basically he was injured during Brock fight a doctor prescribed a anti inflammatory drug and he was unaware that it had testosterone as a ingredient. Lmao , oh well atleast it wasnt a year.
