Default So acording to John Hollinger's PER.....Kevin Love is better than CP3, Kobe, Durant,

Kevin Love is arguably the worst AllStar selection and worst 20ppg scorer the league has ever seen. What Kevin Love does isn't all that impressive.

The Only player Love isn't better than is Lebron James, Dwight Howard and Dwayne Wade

Good Job Kevin Love and keep up the good work.

Beasley PER I believe is below league average, but that is only cuz of that horrible January and Feb in where he wasn't even 20% healthy.

Dude, PER isn't a stat that tells you who's "better" than who. It just tells you who's more efficient. This season, Love is more efficient than those 3 players, and it's true. Math doesn't lie. Efficiency doesn't necessarily mean Love is a better overall player than CP3, Kobe and Durant, because superiority is subjective.

How about CP3 + 1st round pick for Love?

No. According to Hollinger's PER, Kevin Love produces more statistically than those guys. Hollinger himself regularly talks about how PER doesn't measure defense and can reward high usage, low efficiency guys (not that that describes Love). Besides, does anyone really put that much stock into a difference between players of one or two percent when you're looking at a thumbnail stat like PER?

PER is subjective and a flawed stat. Hollinger gave the most value to what he thought was most important. Essentially anyone could make a similar stat to PER crediting one category more then another, and thus the list would change.

It isn't anymore viable then if anyone on this site were to make a formula up with their personal beliefs of how stats should be valued.

I guess Love will have to hold a press conference after the season and apologize for leading the league in rebounding, and being the "worst 20 ppg scorer in NBA history", as well as having a higher PER than the players listed in the OP.

No, According to Hollinger Love is a more efficient player. Not Better, big big difference. Only idiots use it as a stat to define which player is better, it was never meant to be used that way.

Liquid Swords is the only Gza CD I have. Great CD. I've always liked Ghostface Killah and Raekwon "The Chef" the best though.
