I barely follow women's college hoops, but I did watch most of or all of 4 or 5 tourney games this year. Three of those were UConn games and I head one of the announcers say this UConn team wasn't nearly as loaded or dangerous as your typical UConn national championship contending team. Pretty much made it sound like it was Mya Moore and not a lot else in comparison to what Mya Moore had around her the past two seasons.
We will never make excuses. We won with those players around Maya and we lost with those players around Maya. And those players are:
.....and the great Maya Moore.
Thanks for a great run, Lady Huskies. Maya and Lorin, thanks for four great years. 150-4 (Won-Lost record)...an NCAA record. 2-National Titles. Four staight Final Four runs...
So because u get a boner for Canadace Parker is is >>>>>>>> Maya? F*ck outta here clown.
Actually its my homerism, cuz i'm from Knoxville, but in all earnestly, Candace is better.
She won back to back as the main player, and she won Tourney MVP twice, winning the second one with a hurt shoulder. Maya was a really good SG piece and really the first year as the sole leader, she couldn't get it done.
She carried Uconn idiot and recieved no help. Candance never carried a team similar to Maya Moores.
LOLWUT, Candace was the only consistent player on that team. You ever seen LeBron with the Cavs? It was like that except they won. Tennessee was down 42-37 against LSU in the National Semifinals, and she scored 6 points to pull them over for the win. Maya Moore tried that last night and she got them within 4, but she choked on some major free throws. Not to mention she was healthy, when Candace had a hurt shoulder on her shooting arm the whole game...
She was in excruciating pain the whole night. A basketball warrior if I have ever seen one.
