Essentially you need to escape each enclosure/level/test chamber with the help of your gun which shoots portals. You have blue and orange portals and can only have one of each colour at a given time and u can enter/exit out of either. The portals aren't just used to walk through though, you can use them to let energy balls through them so that they can hit a switch etc.
Quite a hard game to explain but the first one was crazy addictive and the best game i've ever purchased with microsoft points
I'd recommend trying out the first one on Steam or 360 and trying it for yourself, not sure how Portal 2 is going to be worked into a full game but i will most likely buy it anyway with the co-op being thrown in.
Pre-Ordered this one for PS3. It's apparently going to be cross-platform compatible with PC/Mac through Steam. Only the PS3 version will be like this, and you also get a free copy of the game for PC but my PC is old so I won't be able to run it. It will be cool to finally play with some PC friends though. And it will work out since it's a co-op game and not something with competitive multiplayer.
game was much shorter i agree
end boss battle was shorter
ending credits songs was worse. still alive > *
big fan of the gels and the newer portal and light bridge. i wanted more of wheatley's challenges at the end. i was disappointed there were only so few.
and yes the fact that there were so little portalable spots made the game mich easier. it bacame really obvious where i should be pointing my portals about 1/3 through
there werent a lot of difficult maps for me. i can remember struggling a bit more on the portal custom maps.
im hoping coop will be better. but overall im glad i didnt drop 50 for this game.
Just passed the Single Player, not bad, lil short but eh will probably go hunting for achievements before i start co-op.. New features make it a much deeper game but with a short campaign they feel short lived tbh.
I'm on the fence about getting this. I enjoyed the first one, but I got it with the Orange Box, so for the price it was a very good deal. Not sure if this is worth an $90 purchase or not. I'm not huge into multiplayer, so if the single mode is only 8-10 hours long i'd probably finish that in a week.
