Canada is great and Nash is a great player. Maybe the best NBA player ever, if we let the physical talent aside.
I only meant that he maybe isn't the best type of franchise player to win championships.
And D'Antoni also contributed to Nash greatness... you should give him credit for that.

Is still this thread open when I press the "post" button?

Nash's teammates in Phoenix contributed to his greatness. His coach had very little to do with it.

Hell I'd be for not discussing European basketball at all since this is the forum of an NBA team. In liew of a total ban on Euro-League discussion this is a good idea since threads appear to get hijacked whenever they involve players/coaches who've had links to Europe.

No one "hates" European players or coaches, IMO the "anti-Euro" posters just think that since the Euro-league is a different style of game with different rules and, yes, inferior talent overall and therefore that success there does not necessarily equal success in the NBA. For instance, D'Antoni has apparently proven to be very successful coaching the European game. He has not however been successful in coaching in the NBA due to his lack of focus on tough defense over perimeter player, ergo he'd be a bad fit for the Raps IMO.

D'Antoni is a solid coach, but not elite.

Nash made the suns what they were.

But I do agree that you can't really make it the finals unless you have an elite 2/3 or an elite 5.

Hey Chambs, question. How come you acknowledge that my threads and posts have been good lately but yet you still manage to lock up and delete 90% of my content?

Starting a thread about wanting to be a mod would be locked/deleted on any forum.

Calling out other posters in threads and forums will also result in such actions.

Talking about basketball, whether it be biased or not, will not warrant such actions.

Let's not get off topic, please. PM me if you have anymore problems/questions.

Its not Europe's fault that Bargnani/Calderon suck and are overpaid. When bargnani is getting criticized, its the bargnani defenders that cry about how this forum has some hidden agenda against European basketball players.

Also at lilbeastnani ever becoming a mod

These stupid white American men are not only absolutely ignorant about European basketball, they are happy to show off their ignorance.

It is sad that an American league has got the best basketball players, because that is the only in which NBA is better than European Basketball.
We have to stand those absurd rules that make the NBA half sport half show. Because the nba is more about show than about basketball. If you want to watch true basketball you have to look at European basketball... if it is not tactically too difficult to understand to you, stupid white American men.

And we have to stand David Stern who forbade freedom of speech to players and coaches. And you think that America is the land of freedom, you stupid white american men. The players can't even choose where to play...

And please, stop talking about "Euroleague". That is just a cup, not even a league, you ignorant.

Uh you know we're Canadian right?

Seriously, you should be banned for this shit. If European basketball is so great, stop following the NBA. Go watch your crappy league and don't come back here. You contribute nothing to this board.

America/Canada invented Basketball, ergo our version of the game is the "true" version whether you like it or not. I'd also like to point out that when America actually bothers to try in international play they mop the floor with the world, so I think they can handle the complexity of European tactics.

wtf is this garbage? I have no clue who you are trying to attack here....anyway since it seems like you are a moron let me break down things to you.

Toronto Raptors are in Toronto, Toronto is in Canada, Thread title: "Europe vs. Canada thread", the majority of fans on here are Canadian so why are you bringing up Americans?

"If you want to watch true basketball you have to look at European basketball... if it is not tactically too difficult to understand to you, stupid white American men."

Last time I checked, those stupid white Americans coached their team to Olympic gold so it seems your "difficult" tactics aren't as superior as you seem to think. Seriously, please explain to me how the plays run in European basketball are sooo much more complex then in the NBA?

P.S
