Yeah, that seems to be where they're heading, but why is she saying she's from Volantis? Is it even her?

I just started with season 1.....saw the first two episodes. I'm hooked already. I'm considering getting the books. From what I've seen they're quite long. Should I wait till after season 1 to read the first book or should I read it concurrently with the show? I won't watch season 2 until it comes out on disc. I've stayed out of this thread deliberately to avoid spoilers.

Have we confirmed that the nurse is actually jeyne westerling? I was under the assumption that she was a seperate character but it makes sense that she'd use a fake name considering her family is loyal to house lannister. And Danys dragons getting stolen will lead her to the house of the undying but we will get the badass visions that are integral to the plot?

You should have followed the casting news more carefully

I regret having read all the books this past year after watching season 1.

I still look forward to the show, but already knowing what will happen takes a little bit of the excitement away. I thoroughly enjoyed book 1 having already watched the show, yet I find myself not as excited about new episodes of season 2 having already read the book.

I'd recommend reading book one only for now, and only after you're done watching season 1. Of course once you start you may not be able to stop, so I don't know.

Season 1 follows the book pretty closely. I didn't read it until after watching and I still enjoyed it.

i'm a little over halfway through Clash of Kings, moving onto ch 39, or arya's 8th chapter. i know the books and the show don't really match up chapter for chapter, but i'm wanting to be largely past the point of last night's episode's events in the book before i watch it.

is anybody able to tell me what chapter i would have to reach? here's a ch by ch summary to recollect if anybody wants to put in five minutes

thx

Ygritte is one of my favorite characters. She's far more attractive here than she's written in the books. Jon Snow tells her to stop wiggling. You know nothing Jon Snow.

They ought to call this show "A game that 16 year old girls watch religiously."
