The way that I read Jaime is that he loves the art of swordsmanship. This is why I don't think he likes fighters as much as swordsmen, and would ever place them up on his list. The Cleganes are just brutes in Jaime's world, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't value them, or people that are good commanders either (for instance, his father or Ned).

For those that haven't read the books, in the HBO series, when Jaime kills the kid in the cell, he talks about Barristan Selmy using his sword like a paint brush and painted blood everywhere with it like an artist. In the book, that is the Black Fish, Cat's uncle and we'll meet him this season. Keep that in mind when you see him.

Its looking like we'll be introduced to the Brotherhood next episode. Can't wait for that.

What about the likelihood we'll meet Strong Belwas this season?

"No comment on that one," Martin said with a smile.

Still hoping they find him fighting somewhere and take him in.

Definitely the Hound and the Mountain. I'd take a guess at Barriston Selmy he's a universally known badass.

I think he could show up as one of the Mereen pit fighters or slaves that Dany frees. I understand not introducing too many characters because it can be overwhelming for the non book reading audience. He definitely is an awesome character of no major importance.

Eh...not so much in the realm of "best ever."

The name that always comes up in seriously revered tones is Ser Arthur Dayne, who wielded Dawn, The Sword of the Morning and was one of Mad King Aerys' Kingsguard.

Jaime AND Barristan both speak of Arthur Dayne with utmost reverence and consider him the finest swordsman they'd ever seen.

Wasn't barristan selmy the old guy who apologized to Dany on the latest episode and said he used to be head of the Kings guard and apologized for failing to protect her father?

What damage is this guy going to do, he's an old grandpa.

are there a lot of giants in the books? the one joining the wildlings seemed enourmous...almost makes everyone else seem irrevlevant, wether they are a master of the sword or big like the hound.

There are a lot of giants, particularly in the third novel 'Storms of Swords'.
