Nice. The Blackfish looks exactly like I pictured him and Jojen has that creepy children of the corn look down. Messandai I always thought she was a little girl in the books. Where are Mance and Edmure though?
Dominic West (Jimmy McNulty) turns down role as Mance Rayder because he was reluctant to film in Iceland for 6 months because he wanted to be around his kids.

Game of Thrones
HBO executive Richard Plepler promises the show is committed to adapting all of George R.R. Martin's books, including the ones that haven't quite been written yet:
Quote:
Well, as long as George keeps writing, we'll keep producing, and he seems very excited with that proposition. As long as he sees fit to keep creating, so will w

That's nice to hear, although of course it should be pointed out the show is still only renewed on a season-by-season basis, so things could change between now and eight seasons from now. [Collider]
alot can change in the next few years, but at least we know they intend to stick it out

Hopefully this makes that basterd write the novel quicker.. Unless he ends up feeling that right now he has some breathing room (due to the show being 2-3 books behind) or that he should write next book (gods forbid..) as season 6 comes out...
Watched one episode so far, a lot of sex. Whats the show actually about now?
In the first episode Ned decides to take the position of Hand of the King (like vice president) previously held by his well respected elder Jon Arryn who died suspiciously.
Ned's wife's sister was married to Jon Arryn and suspects that he was murdered (and she suspects the Lannisters of doing it...the Queen is a Lannister). Ned wasn't going to take the position at first (to stay w/ family) but now he decided to go to Kings Landing and investigate his friends death while also managing being Hand of the King.
That's all info you should have gotten from the first episode. Understand this and enjoy from this point on.
