Tywin really is a character that begs for screen time. A lot of characters have scenes from the book missing but he has whole sections added to go with the fact that I dont think a single book conversation he had has been left out of the show. And every scenes hes in is a highlight.

Id watch an entire episode on him sonning people, sternly explaining why his family isnt worthy of his name, and scribbling on a scroll while someone "important" waits for him to finish.

He deserves the same emmy the Imp got for season 1.

Real talk...

Who else would turn to HBO early for an uninterrupted hour of Tywin and the Tyrell Grandmother having a conversation on how everyone they know is a lame who disappoints them?

Maybe bring in Balon Greyjoy to talk about how Theon hoed up with the Starks to round it off.

The Tywin/Queen of Thorns/Balon hour would be the best hour of tv this year.

The entire Lannister family runs this show. Anytime one of their family is in the scene they dominate it (Cersei, Tywin, Tyrion, and now Jaime)

Arrya was a little out of character this episode. Definitely didn't see those types of outbursts from her.

Im still waiting on the Martells. I expect them to be Lannister good. Doran and the Red Viper at least. I expect them to milk him a bit more than was done in the books. He has some good conversations with Tyrion. And Doran is pretty much undercover patient Tywin.

They have a lot of great characters to work with.

I think you misinterpreted that. He was saying that they'd no longer be friends because she's highborn and he's just a black smith.

No.

He mean't she'd be an upperclass to him. "My lady" is something you call somebody of higher status.

Tywin is such an alpha...

at Cersai. She clearly enjoyed Tyrion's despair, thinking she was above such a fate, only to get punked into the same thing herself.

Poor Sansa, she's such a pawn. Being pulled every which way by everyone of importance...

Jaime came off as a more sympathetic figure this episode.

BTW I have no interest whatsoever in Stannis and his whole story arc w/ the Red Woman etc. I havent read the books so idk if that leads into something bigger or more central but as of now, blehhh...

Yes. Shit just make it a one woman show of Olenna fielding questions and telling all of the audience how stupid they are.

Good one, but man I wasn't expecting so much talking, wasn't prepared for one of "those" episodes.

But watching Tywin laying down the law and shutting all these smug characters up with his stone face is always entertaining. The scene with Jamie was nice too.

Stannis and Robb story arcs are boring as hell though, and Arya is barely any less annoying than Sansa. These Stark women just all need to die already.

Kind of a dull episode I thought, a couple good scenes, but after last week there was not enough meat.

the thing that's great about Game of Thrones is that it's very rarely black and white. there are alot of shades of grey. characters that you may hate will get some sympathy once their story or point of view is told. characters that are supposed to be "good guys" pull such stupid shit that you hate them for fukkin shit up.
