Wow, I hoped they do it, but kinda expected them not to...
It was shot from afar and I'm sure not nearly as graphic as depicted in the books. Just as well for me... I have no problem with humans being slaughtered, but don't have all that much interest in seeing a lifelike severed wolf head on a human body.
The finale was pretty meh, although the scene with Tywin, Tyrion and Joffrey was very good, as were the Tyrion and Sansa scenes.
Too much Stanis/Red Woman for me, though... Not much interest in them at all.
In the books Joffrey had more to say. He kinda went in on Tywin talking up Robert like a real king who was bold and all this nonsense. Tywin told his son something along the lines of "I did not fight a war to seat Robert the Second on the throne" and he tells him hes more like the Mad King....and needed to be fixed before he grew up.
"A sharp lesson...." is how Tywin put it. They should have included it. Would have had viewers wondering all year what kind of lesson he intended to teach.
