A lot of people I know who are not fantasy fans were very skeptical about watching GoT and most of them love the show now.

I dont think any of us spoiled the Red Wedding. And thats one of the most major spoilers in tv history. And millions of people kept it quiet enough for the general public to be clueless. So I wouldnt worry about it.
