Got a few pages left in book 2, should be done tonight or tomorrow. And I trust the casting directors on the show completely, I'm sure they made the right choices. The first season speaks for itself, especially with the child actors.

i wonder if GRRM has any plans for Rickon. he does almost nothing in the books and barely even shows up in the show. I wouldn't mind if he gets killed off to for some more angst

Spoiler question:

Did anyone think it was weird how fast Jon Snow got back to the wall when he took off on horse? It was like three lines later and he was on a table getting talking to Pyp. Compared to how long he was beyond the wall.

i have a feeling rickon becomes a bad guy if they let the kids age enough. he has already shown signs of being a bit crazy and his wolf too.

all the main houses have both good and bad members, seems like the starks should have one too. then again, ** they do have evil zombie Cate***

not really, he just dealt with the arrow and then had an uneventful ride back to the castle. the wildings couldn't really catch him cause they had no horses and it was a bit chaotic with Summer still prowling around as well.

I'm just now realizing that I tend to look for inconsistencies when I feel like somethings perfect.

The thing about Jon Snow, the fact that I've seen Unforgiven over 50 times and get mad at the same scene every time while the other 98% of the movie is perfect.

Just finished Book 2 last night. So much better than the 1st and that's saying a lot. Can't wait to see it on tv. I feel like it's so much easier to read after having a face to the characters from watching the 1st season.

Just watched the Comic Con clips. Jason Momoa (Drogo) is awesome. Pretty much everything he said cracked me up.

Finished book three tonight [still need to read the epilogue], and I learned one thing through books two and three:

the Tully women are useless C*NTS. Sansa doesn't seem nearly as bad as she did in the first book. Not even close. It's easy to hate Lysa Tully, but deep down Catelyn is much worse.

"Haven't read the epilogue" ... "The Tullyl women are useless C*NTS".

This will all make sense in 25 pages or so.

I just picked up Dance today, along with going hardcover on all the other books. I still have 600 pages left in book four anyway, so I'm a ways off. I've slowed down a little.

Five books in hardcover cost me like 150 bucks.

you probably could have found the first 4 in hardcover at second hand bookstores.

That's how I felt. I sat at like 200-250 pages left for a few days and then decided to crush it last night in a little over an hour. Was well worth finally finishing and seeing how everything ended up. Trying to pace myself to not tear through book 3 with season 2 of the show still a while off.
