He was opposed to the Battier trade. He wants to coach a winner. So you guys can forget about him coaching minnesota or detroit. I think he'd be a good look in NY but I doubt they get rid of Dantoni next year
Like someone mentioned earlier, Adelman benefits the most out of this. The Rockets were mired in mediocrity while he was at the helm. Not because of him but because of literally everything else. Playoff berths leading to first round exits and a revolving door of injuries has this Houston squad living under a glass ceiling. With the future of Yao in jeopardy and no real star to build around (unless you consider Kevin Martin your star) this was the best time to cut losses and start over fresh.
Adelman, on the other hand, will have a wide variety of coaching positions to choose from. The guy takes shit and turns it into diamonds. Imagine what he can do with an actual contender.
In my opinion the best x's and o's coach in all of the nba. Watching those early 00's Sac teams was a thing of beauty. He could make any team great if the players buy into his philosophy. Love the guy. Bring him to the Heat please!!

From what i heard the past couple months, It was a mutual decision.
Back to the drawing board for the rockets.
Still sucks watching the east 6-8 (plus Celtics) continue playing while we sit at home.
Nowhere in that article does it say he was fired. His contract with the Rockets had expired, and due to various reasons, he will not be resigned as the head coach in Houston.
