Rapping isnt about being able to do what other people can do...

if somebody can duplicate Biggie Smallz raps, that doesnt make him Biggie's equal...

that makes him some guy who can say what Biggie said.. He didnt think those raps up and put together those songs.... Biggie did..

lets say Biggie were alive and he was doing a show the same night as the guy who simply mimics Biggies lyrics...

whose show is everybody gonna be at?

I feel what you are typing about metallica, but like i typed, i FEEL that being able to be imitated is the best way to judge a person's skill level in ANY field.

Ive been in MANY DJ battles. Going head up, one on one, in front of (sometimes) thousands of people. You go up there and try to do shit that your competitor cant do. And, the ultimate clown, is to take what your competitor is doing, same beat, same routine, and flip it 2,3,4,5 (etc) times harder than they are. Thats hip hop. Thats bball. Thats life. If two people sells cars at a car lot, one could give the customer a wonderful experience, make sure everything was taken care off (The Beatles) and one is a hustler and closes out 4-5 people a day, (Metallica) he is gonna be cashin HUGE commission checks and runnin the place in a few months.

Same thing with hoops. If you could do what MJ, Kobe, bron could do, you'd be the best and could take out anyone. A GREAT rapper should be able to go head up with anyone, on stage, and eat em up. At the drop of a dime. I FEEL that is much more important than the thought process and life experiences that inspired the rapper to rapped what he/she rapped. All rappers go through shit, have feelings in their raps, but a Truly GREAT rapper is just like a great hooper, CAN NOT BE IMITATED.

pac and biggie are one of the best story tellers, and express their feelings the best. Great . Fine. That s what they are. But pure RAPPING, no way, no f-in way. Not even close.

and yes, lars ulrich, runs shit. and just for all kills ANY record on drums period, i actually had a routine with the breakdown in shorest straw.

agree to disagree i guess.

Is there a valid point anywhere in your asinine ramblings? I can't find one.

And Stockton can't emulate Gerald Green's speed, strength, jumping and dunking ability?

Stockton is still a better player even though Gerald Green was more flashy because substance matters more than style.

The same way 2pac and Biggie are better than Twista even though he raps faster.

LOL at you thinking your son could emulate 2pac's rap IQ, his passion and his charisma.

Skill wise as far as wordplay goes Big is on another planet, but its all on what you prefer. Plus who cares about ratings(yes i know i had a thread about the best mcs which i regret). Good music is good music just enjoy them both.

Do you jerk off to pac? seriously. nice man flashing lower body in your avatar.

Gerald Green is terrible. Your saying twista only raps fast. no.. he raps fast with style grace. john stockton wins, gerald green is garbage. Twista is not JUST fast. He is dope and his style is dope.

It just hit me, you and others love his "passion, charisma" etc because you are infatuated with HIM, THE PERSON, and even have a thing for HIM.

ITS ABOUT THE RAPS, THE MUSIC! the rhythm. rolling in your ride, thinking, "damn this ***** is BUSTIN". not "ohhhh wow, he puts feeling in his music, wow, what a guy, i would love to know HIM better."

i listen to the music and rhythm, not to fall in love with a man's "charisma" and "passion".

people love 2pac's music because they can relate to the things he rapped about...

the next guy who comes along and tries to imitate 2pac wont be as popular because 2pac already covered that ground.

why listen to the imitator when you can simply listen to the originator?

as for other hip hop artists like Biggie/Jay/Nas who are traditional MCs, people love to check their flow. Biggie had a great flow to go along with his voice which he honed over his short career.. He started out as a battle MC who did alot of yelling... as he got more polished, he changed his tone and it came off alot better without losing his hard edge..

Rakim was one of the first MCs to show brothas you dont need to yell in order to rip the microphone
