I do think the bulls or thibs should go in to the post more with booze. And utilize the pick and role more
What I've noticed the past 2 weeks, (because Im into hating Boozer more than normal right now) is that the Rose/Boozer pick and roll, doesn't seem to fit, it kinda did before his latest pissy injury, but now it just looks bad. BUT...Noah and him seem to be getting better at being around one another.
He does need to be more agressive in the broader sense of things, but he does show flashes of what he can bring to the table for us alot of times. And what he can and will bring is something that we can't be without if we expect to do serious damage come postseason time. We need him. It's plain and simple. He'll step it up in the playoffs.
The Sixers game was a game that the team in its entirety (maybe minus a player or two) came out with no heart or fire. The 1st half guys seemed uninterested and lazy out there. We've had a very good run as of late and it happens to every team in the NBA. Teams sometimes just show up not ready to play. Sixers were hungry and they caught us off guard. Hopefully it's an eye opener for our guys and it reminds them that we must win the majority of our games left in order to secure the top seed which will be vital if we want to have a serious shot at making it to the Finals.
How many games have Booz/Noah been the starting frontcourt?? Like less then 25 right?
It's kinda scary because I don't think the team as a whole has gelled just yet. Booz and Noah still look like they're learning to play with each other and Rose and Booz haven't connected like most PG's and their big men do.
Doesn't excuse the fact that he has been garbage for the past month.
He hasn't been garbage. He's just had a few bad games. So what? He's not allowed to have a few bad games?
Maybe 5 of his last 20 games were below average. Before that, he had like 20 straight good games.
So 20 straight good games, and 15 of 20 games being either good enough, or good, I will take that any day over fucking Brad Miller.
Stop expecting Boozer to be some craxy 25/15 guy. He isn't Dwight. He isn't Amar'e. He's Carlos Boozer. He's an 18.5/10 guy who scores very efficiently and doesn't play great defense. You shouldn't expect more than say, 20/11 out of him on average. That is about what his peak is.
Don't foolishly forget that his stats went down when Noah came back. Noah gets some of his touches, and some of his boards. Doesn't mean Boozer was playing like shit the whole time. And Noah coming back is precisely when Boozer's stats started going down.
