It's a tough decision, because what would be the Opportunity Cost of that extra $10 million if they let Chauncey go? We don't know.

So........I would pick up the option, but not feeling great about it. But I guess we have to.

He's a shooting guard who's forced to occasionally throw a pass to keep up appearances. Terrible instincts and i.q. for the position, doesn't create for his team mates, doesn't make them better.

This year's post season debacle for NYK is a blessing in disguise. The 1st Round sweep this year could be used as mental ammunition come next season around this time. I'm a fan of the sport 'in general' so naturally I'm glad to see NYC is relevant again in the NBA.

Expect Billups to be the base of a trade offer to the next team that has problems with a star player. They may not have enough around him to land a great player, but some struggling franchise may be willing to sell a draft pick that NY coulod use to strengthen that offer. They're going to get a third star, although that player won't be Paul or Williams like Knick fans are hoping.

if its not those 2 then who do u think this "star" is going to be.

I really think Dwill is going to turn around the Net with their core of Dwill/Lopez/Humphries so that might keep him happy there but i could see CP3 making him way over there. But I would just hate to see Dwight there.

I don't know. I'm figuring that some guy like (but not necessarily) Joe Johnson will start next season poorly or get into it with management or whatever, the team will want to get rid of their contract and NY will jump in with an expiring 14 mil.

"Not necessarily Joe Johnson." I'm not saying it will be him, I'm saying some disgruntled player/team combo will probably be out there for NY to make a move on.
