Re: April 28th: Playoffs Round 1: Mavericks @ Blazers, Game 6
Such a frustrating game. Why did Portland refuse to go down in the paint? We want to trade Andre Miller threes with Jason Terry threes? We will lose that battle every time.
Hopefully next year the Blazers have a three point shooter or two, as well as players willing to penetrate (I thank Gerald Wallace and Wesley Matthews for trying to get to the rim this game).
........................... and now to suddenly start rooting for Dallas. BEAT LA! BEAT LA!

I'd like to make Rudy cry. Guy is supposed to be a shooter, and he shoots 20% FG and 25% 3PT. He is worthless most of the season, but he is especially worthless in the postseason. I hope we trade him so bad. I'd take an early 2nd round draft pick for him.

Very entertaining series. It must be so frustrating to be fans of these teams. Caron Butler would have been huge for the Mavs, he looked good earlier in the season.
I know it's a broken record, but this Portland team, healthy, would be, just, ugh. Filthynasty. The depth of Denver but with legit stars.

A player that must remain in the corner 90% of the time, and barely touches the ball, and that also has to defend a player much shorter and faster than him. That is the antithesis of the game that Rudy could deliver. I'm sure he might be having a much more important role on other teams. I understand that Portland fans are disgusted with their performance, but must understand that the role to which he is subjected is not the most optimal for their virtues. He never was a three-point shooter, at least not a specialist. And never will be as productive as a true specialist. Probably, he never had to refuse to be moved. I think both he and the team would have been benefited.
I still think the same thing I posted a couple of days ago, Rudy has had very poor performance in Portland, but is not solely responsible. He never was a shooter, this is a role imposed by McMillan. A trade, or return to Europe are perhaps the best thing to do.

I know I'm way late (just got back from work), but just wanted to say congratulations to the Mavs fans, the better team won this series. We were lucky to win the 2 that we did.
Good luck in the second round. I hope Caron Butler will be back for game 1. I heard he was close to returning.
To my fellow Blazer fans, it was a good season, but now we can clearly see our weaknesses. Cho knows we need to rebuild a bit, and I hope his first move is getting rid of Rudy Fernandez, and getting the Blazers some real shooters.

Yea grats Mavs fans, you guys deserved this win, Blazers didn't play well. That said God I wish NBA refs weren't shit. Basically ruined this series giving games to both teams, the better team won out but still...
