The last Bulls coach to win COTY had a 72-10 season and won the Championship.
However, if the Bulls are gonna win it this year (or ever) then Thibs seriously needs to grow a mustache/beard. All Championship Chicago coaches had them.
all? i never knew there was another coach aside from PJax who won rings as Chicago coach.
Well-deserved. Leading a 41 win team to 62 wins the following year is no small feat. It's one thing when a 20 game difference comes from a 10-20 win team, increasing their wins to 30-40. . .but it's a whole different real, when it's 41-62. Very impressive feat.
Thibs does have some faults though. He doesn't seem to have many offensive plays in his bag of tricks, but I guess you can't have everything. Especially in a rookie coach. Great job by Thibs this year, despite some of my naysaying about his rotations early in the season.
