If anyone can come back from a 3-0 series deficit, it's the Lakers.

lets be honest, Dallas is closing this shit out Sunday

Screw the haters and trolls, who have been anxiously waiting on their keyboards for the demise of the G.O.A.T NBA franchise.

We'll be back because that's what the Lakers do, RELOAD.

First post since last night as this sight was completely unusable after the lakers/Mavs Gm.. Anyway glad we are seeing some new blood in the NBA emerge but the Lakers have nothing to be ashamed of they have had great run of success and a great organization that will not settle for mediocrity for too long.. Problem is though Lakers need to retool the bench big time for this current team to be a championship factor once again.

Hey man, what more can the Lakers do? They played well, they showed up, and yet the Mavericks just looked like the better team last night. Bynum and Odom were monsters, and yet it wasn't enough. This squad has had a great run; they've got nothing to be ashamed about.

Assuming Dallas doesn't choke away a 3-0 series lead, where does this leave Pau Gasol? It's not that he's playing poorly, but more how he's reacting to playing poorly and his overall demeanor. He just doesn't look engaged.

And if anyone can blow a 3-0 deficit, it's the Mavericks.

But yeah, Mavericks will still probably win the series.

Agreed with the white, unfortunately.

Dallas would have to literally play their worst basketball in games 4 and 5 for LA to even have a chance at coming back. LA's chances rely ENTIRELY on how Dallas plays. LA has too many chemistry/trust issues to even dream of rallying back from a 3-0 deficit.

Yup. Like I said in another GT, LA would be lucky if they split a game in Dallas; last night was their opportunity and they completely went AWOL down the stretch. 3-0 is just too difficult to come back from. Especially from an emotional standpoint.

Odds are stacked against them but if they can somehow come with the gameplan they had lastnight and limit their turnovers down the stretch (all while having Ron-ron out there), we actually MIGHT stand a chance. I doubt it, but it IS plausible.

It's pretty shocking to me that the Mavs went up 3-0 without HCA. I picked them to win a close game 7, but it looks like they might get the sweep.

Default Re: May 6: Playoffs, Round 2 - Lakers @ Mavs (Game 3)

I really thought Lakers would win this game; they were up but they made a big mistake leaving Dirk open for a three pointer and Jason Terry. Pau Gasol isn't a factor at all in this series and it's gonna cost us big time; I've never seen Phil Jackson so pissed off to the point of hitting a player in the chest.

Lakers are in a tough position now...now their backs are really up against the wall; they need to win the next game; there's no room for failure. I'm glad Ron Artest is coming back; he played well against New Orleans and he's good with his defense. If they all come out with the mindset that they're gonna win no matter what, it's gonna happen. I really hope Pau has his head on Sunday's game and doesn't blow it.

Yep. And the Mavs are playing well right now, but we aren't a juggernaut. Stop Dirk and you stop the Mavs. Now, that might be impossible to do right now, but if Dirk doesn't play great....we don't win.

I still won't believe the Mavs can win until we actually do. I haven't been this shocked about a series since the 04 Lakers vs Pistons series.

Dirk is the most unguardable player in the league. He won't be stopped by anyone on the Lakers squad.

Like I said, the minimal, if not nonexistent chance for LA to come back relies entirely on how Dallas performs. LA isn't even winning a game unless Dallas plays terrible.
