Jason X is bad but its not nearly as bad as Jason Goes to Hell. What the hell was with the guy eating Jasons heart and becoming possesed by him? It has to be the worst Jason flick by a mile and thats saying something.
Caddyshack II was just pathetic. The wannabe Rodney Dangerfeild is worse than finger nails on a chalk board. The gopher was overused. Dan Akroyd is average but he is replacing Bill Murray so he doesnt stand a chance. The only funny joke in the movie is when Chevy Chase says to a guy something like "I'd love to stay and chat but look at the time!" then glances at his wrist where there is no watch and walks off.
Speed II is mediocre but the music is so awful that it gets dragged down even worse. Watch it when its on Starz sometime to see. Its like the music wasnt even written for it. Sandra Bullock should haave been thrown overboard shes so annoying in it.
Batman and Robin..... thanks for nearly killing the Batman franchise Jerry Bruckheimer. they cheesed it up and turned what should be a crime ridden major city into a rave. freezing the city?
I have to agree with Rocky V. They don't even include it in most Rocky marathons on tv.
Karate Kid 3: Totally unnecessary. It was pretty much a retelling of part one, except this time the girl disapears halfways through the movie. Ralph Maccio was already 29 and he was defending his all-valley under 18 karate championship!!!
I hate pretty much all sequels that don't have the same actors in them. I'm not saying these movies are good movies, just the sequels really sucked.
Fast & Furious sequels. original was pretty good. but sequel #1, 2 Fast 2 Furious wasn't as good because Vin wasn't in it, and Tyrese was horrible. still watchable, but not that good. the #3 installment was just plain Stupid. neither of the 2 main actors in the first were involved, and the movie just plain sucked. I cannot watch this movie again at all.
XXX: the movie was a alright movie. the sequel XXX:state of the union was pretty bad. Ice Cube just wasn't the actor to get in replace of Vin Diesel.
Scream : the original was an okay movie. but once it was done, the sequels just didn't live up to the original.
others that i liked the original, but hated the sequels.
I know what you did last summer.
Wild Things (sequels had no-name actors)
Cruel Intentions (sequel had no-name actors)
-Any Rocky movie after part 2
-Any Friday the 13th movie after the first
-Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo
-Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
-Weekend at Bernie's II
-Batman & Robin
Others that sucked:
-Jurassic Park III
-Exorcist: The Beginning
-Amityville II: The Possession
-Speed 2: Cruise Control
-The Ring Two
-Alien Vs. Predator
--any sequel after American Pie 2 (the first one was pretty much a classic, AP2 was pretty good, but American Wedding was awful and I have no plans to ever see any of the straight to DVD sequels).
--Batman Forever and Batman & Robin (IMO, Michael Keaton was light years better than either Val Kilmer or George Clooney)
--Ocean's Twelve (just way too many big stars, and absolutely had no senseable plot whatsoever)
--the Friday sequels (as much as I grown to like Mike Epps, those movies lost its spark without Chris Tucker being there)
--Revenge of the Nerds 3 and 4 (you can't make made-for-TV versions look as good as the original theaterical versions...Nerds 1 was a classic, and Nerds 2 was decent, but not as good as the first)
--Major League 2 and 3 (not only did it switch studios--the first one was made by Paramount, the last two by Warner Bros.--but you also replace Omar Epps for Wesley Snipes as Willie Mays Hayes, and it looked like the Warners didn't pour much money into the last two movies like Paramount did for the first one)
--House Party 4 (probably the worst movie I ever seen, and it was so bad, I don't even consider this movie as part of the House Party franchise. First off, no Kid or Play in this one, and was really LOW budget...and second, you had IMX/Immature in the lead roles and a bunch of no-name actors. HP4 pisses on the "legacy" of the first three movies. You, me, and a few of us on the board can put a hundred dollars together and make a better movie.)
