Developer CD Projekt RED today confirmed the release of the The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Xbox 360. The title is slated for release at the end of this year.
The announcement was made today during a live stream from the team. CD Projekt RED said the Xbox 360 port will not suffer from any gameplay compromises and that the graphics are "looking awesome."
First week sales for the PC version surpassed 400,000 worldwide, according to the developer.
Another game to add to the great line-up of games coming out this year.

Oh yeah. Coming out April 17th. They added 4 hours of gameplay! Got Dark Souls, skipped Skyrim and now I'm getting Witcher 2. Toys r us has it on pre-order for $44.99!
I can't stress this strongly enough but for any RPG fan with a 360, you MUST play this game.
I think I'm going to play through the PC version again with all these new additions. The only complaint I had about this game was that the very last act wasn't that good and kinda buggy. It seems like that will be fixed.
^Agreed. I am giving this a try. From what I've heard, this is right up there with Dark Souls and Skyrim. I've been following it since its pc release and was pumped when the console version was announced.
I've never played a game like this on a console; are they any good?
I played the game the first time through with keyboard, and the second time through with my PS3 controller. I actually preferred the PS3 controller. Of course, I still used the keyboard and mouse for inventory and crafting, so I guess technically I was using both console and PC setup.
And I'm using a GTX 570 now, with a full gaming PC.
Nobody has picked this up yet? Mine's on its way. One of the best rpgs of our generation and nobody has picked it up on the 360? I know some of you have played it on the pc.
I've only played for about 5 hours, but I'm hooked. The story looks like it'll have a lot of intrigue. Some people have complained about the early difficulty of the game on Normal, but it doesn't seem that difficult to me and I'm no RPG playing expert. I suppose Demon's/Dark Souls difficulty prepared me for Witcher 2. I enjoy the combat. It takes a few minutes to get used to light attacks, heavy attacks, parrying, roll dodging, using signs(magic) and using items. The fist fighting mini game is kinda cool. I still can't get used to the arm wrestling mini game. The voice acting is pretty good. Those are my early impressions.....This game doesn't feel like a chore either....it's fun.
Many of you who didn't play this on pc and are overlooking this game are missing out on one of the best RPGs ever.
I bought this at first only because of it's developer CD Projekt RED. They just seem to have such a positive attitude in the way they approach the industry of making video games. So if a small developer like that produces something worthwhile, I'm definitely inclined to support them a bit.
Even though I wasn't that interested in the setting of the game and figured it's probably not going to be a really good port of the PC game. Turns out I was wrong, this game definitely stacks up to all other major RPG releases, it's a fantastic game.
Currently I'm about half done....took a break to play Max Payne and to go on a little cruise. The quest tracking sucks in Act 2.....I hate wasting time trying to find the right spot or person... Still, I have to say this is one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
