That being said, he stepped up huge tonight. Haslem defines what a good role player should be. He is now a champion, and rightfully so.

Two players from the same team can't have simultaneous posession of the ball if they're moving. It's an automatic travel.

Trust me, I was going nuts rooting for the Heat tonight but as soon as I saw them both come down with the ball and stumble a little, I knew what the call was going to be and I knew it was the right one whether I wanted it to be or not.

Thanks. The fans at the Rockets message board I post on are definitely having their fun with the Mavs collapse. It's photoshop galore over there, and I decided to use one of the resulting works of art lol.

great thread!

haslem had an impact all series and last night was his exclamation point.

he was a warrior, bum shoulder and and all. out played dirk...mavs franchise player on defense, made huge baskets.

wade was the mvp, but haslem really was great.

props to all of the role players on the heat. they really helped miami to get the trophy.

one more CONGRATS to haslem too.

Clutchfans.net.

It's really an amazing site. Roughly 20,000 members. It's the best source of everything Rockets in existence. Several inside sources post on the board, including the guy who runs the site. The forum is so big now that the Rockets have granted him permission to attend media days during training camp and interview the players himself. Information makes it onto the board so quickly that rockets.com has complained to the guy that runs the board because 9 times out of 10 he beats them to all the breaking news. Even a couple of the local AM sports radio personalities post over there.

I see you found it lol. It's really nothing compared to the photoshopping going on during the Rox/Mavs series last year. It'll pick up once everyone gets home from work tonight though, I'm sure.

Let me dig up some of my photoshops from last year real quick...

HALLandOATES, you've got a PM.

EDIT: I sent the wrong link...sort of. Just follow the one I sent and then click on the first post where it says "last year's thread". That's the good stuff.

He is what a role player should be on a championship caliber team. He knows his role, doesn't try to score on his own, plays good D, goes for offensive rebounds, can confidently take and make the mid-range shot, and can do all of the above in clutch situations. THAT is what a role player should be. Guys like Haslem, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Devean George, Bruce Bowen, those are true role players in the league and are so crucial to a championship team.

Agreed. Does he EVER miss an open mid-range shot?
