I dont think you can blame him for that because the season is early and those 15gms arent at seasons end. BIG difference. You can make up the 15 missed games later on...you cant make it later. Those 15gms could be enough to watch you slide out.

yeah, i know its not at a critical part of the season but still, 15 games are 15 games. say they lose 7 more of those because of melo missing. the west is really tight this year. denver could very well miss the post season by just a game or two.

what happens if the nuggets slip into the lottery and then win it and take oden? if stern's suspensions became the reason for a nuggets dynasty, i would laugh myself to death.

If I was a Denver fan I'd be most angry at Karl. He's the coach, and he's supposed to be smart enough to keep his players out of bad situations.

Melo was clearly an idiot as well, but if I'm a fan one mistake isn't going to make much difference in how I feel about the team star.

Look at the Pacer fans. Artest had their support right up until the end, despite his team destroying behavior. It's hard to get the fans to turn on a talented player who plays hard.

Why wouldn't you blame Melo?

It's like Pacer fans if they would blame Artest for their callopse. Why wouldn't they? He basically screwed their entire year with his stupidity. (Albiet JO and Stephen "Together We Ride!" Jackson were idiots too.)

Melo just f'd the Nuggets whole season.

And there is no way they will win the Oden sweepstakes. They will have too many wins for them to have a realistic chance.

true. i doubt they'll fall out of the playoffs at all, but didn't the knicks take ewing with the fewest possible ping pong balls in the 1985 draft lottery?

Nope. But JR didn't screw their whole season. The Nuggets could have survived him being gone for 10 games. They can't survive Melo being gone for 15 games.

Denver can surive without thier 2nd leading scorer and perimeter threat? Interesting. I know Melo for 15gms out has a bigger impact than Jr Smith but the team would struggle without. It hasnt been playing phenominal WITH them. Melo didnt screw thier season. Cant say that now. Denver makes the playoffs and then what? You're gonna blame Melo that Denver could have won the division or been a higher seed?

Its gonna hurt losing your #1 and #2 scorers at the same time.
