The lakers lost this year solely because of their terrible defense. That will hopefully get fixed.
And I really don't see their offense changing all that much. A huge part of their offense was kobe operating in iso sets in the post and they're still a great offensive rebounding team so none of that will change.
The lakers NEED to get a knock down shooter though. I'll never understand why they don't go after a korver type that can knock down the open shot. With all of the offensive rebounds they get and with kobe's ability to draw the defense in it would be so valuable.

And I don't think the lakers defensive scheme is bad. Hell they start 2 7 footers who protect the paint. I just think they ran out of gas and didn't put in the energy and effort especially on the perimeter. So why brown?
