bingo. i'm still sort of perplexed by it all really. given, brown will fix LA's biggest current weaknesses: pick n roll defense and closing out 3 point shooters.
however, can he handle the egos in LA? can he handle the media? will he gain command and respect over that locker room? kobe will have to be 'all in' and everyone else should follow. i just don't know if brown is that guy. seeing him stumble in crucial moments and be unable to draw a semblance of something creative on offense is worrisome.
that said, LA's won and they have heady, veteran players who know how to play offense together. maybe this won't be as much an issue because of that. i just see it ending up badly if kobe isos even more than he does now and bickering happens (and brown is unable to cope).
it sucks for shaw. the team that knows him best is passing up on him. they obviously don't feel confident shaw has it or is ready yet.
