Pretty sure the Maidana fight will be official in a few weeks. They both have been going back and forward with each other on twitter the past few weeks. Maidana also recently signed with Al Haymon (who Broner is with as is Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthyse.)

Right after Lucas signed with Haymon, the Garcia fight was made.

Matthysse is honestly undefeated in my eyes. It was pretty clear that he beat both Judah and Alexander. (This is coming from a big Judah fan NY all day)

August 3
NBCSN Fight Night
Three To See

Curtis Stevens vs. Saul Roman for the vacant NABF Middleweight Championship
Eddie Chambers vs.Thabiso Mchunu
Tomasz Adamek vs. Tony Grano

-----

If Curtis Stevens wins this tonight, look for him to get a shot at Gennady Golovkin in either November or December.

Curtis Stevens knocked the shit out of Ramon in the first round. He then called out GGG. I don't know if he's ready for him just yet ... we'll see.

lol yeah that KO was ****ing nasty, you learn a new thing everyday and today I learnt you don't want to let Curtis Stevenson touch you with one of those left hooks, damn they were not even full blooded they were like 75% power, well timed and pretty short.....just nasty

That South African kid impressed the crap out of me, the skill/reflex/power/movement he just clowned Eddie Chambers. He was super composed as well looking forward to seeing him again.

That South African kid was boxing like Floyd f**king Mayweather. I was shocked. Chambers was horrible though.

GGG might not be a defensive wizard but he's not a face-first brawler either. I think he's levels above this guy and would time the right-hand before Stevens can land anything of consequence.

I don't see this fight being a war - I think Golovkin picks him apart and scores a mid-round stoppage without taking much damage.

You need two fighters of a similar standard to produce a war, which I don't think we have here.

Murray would be a better test for GGG than Stevens cuz he is durable. Stevens got blown away by a journeyman, outboxed by Dirrell and lost to tv reality contender failure Jesse Brinkley. He isnt going to go from that kind of form to giving Golovkin a decent fight

GGG's promoter said they offered Murray a career high pay day, even more than he got for fighting Martinez, and they were still turned down by Murray's camp. I agree that golovkin would destroy Stevens, but at least it would be entertaining and Stevens actually wants to fight him, unlike every other middle weight in the world.

And apparently Broner-Maidana will be a PPV for Nov 9.

He said it's gonna be a huge PPV card that night, so I expect some great undercard match-ups. Hopefully Trout-Lara and some other big names.

With Broner as the big name attraction? That's got bomb written all over it. Too much, too soon for this guy. I'll enjoy watching his collapse even though he's from Ohio and I really should be rooting for him to succeed.

Guy is just a massive tool.

August 9
ShoBox: The New Generation

Deontay Wilder vs. Siarhei Liakhovich for Wilder's WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight Championship
Francisco Vargas vs. Brandon Bennett for the vacant NABF & WBO Intercontinental Championships
Jermall Charlo vs. Antwone Smith
Gary Russell, Jr. vs. Juan Ruiz

-----

Nice little card for a Friday night. I'm lookin' forward to Wilder. He has 28 fights, and all have ended with KO's, so I wanna see if the hype is real. The Charlo twins are from Houston, so I always look forward to their fights.
