Floyd generally uses Grant gloves, which he'll also be wearing against Canelo. Actually, both fighters will be using Grant gloves. Floyd has occasionally worn Winnings as well, but not as often lately.

If you want to be completely accurate, both guys will be wearing 10-ounce Grant gloves. That's the normal size gloves for 154-pounders.

Fight is at 152, so they will use 8 ounce gloves.

I believe 147 is the cutoff for 8ozers? Unless they are extending it to 152 since it's under 154 weight class?

Something interesting: Ali requested and used 8oz gloves for Ali-Frazier III, he was such a savage.

The rumor going around is Matthysse vs Garcia on the Mayweather vs Canelo undercard. If they make it happen it'll justify the $65 PPV price.

You'll have to get one of the guards to do it, or Al Haymon. He's pretty cool about it too. You will definitely have to fight thru a mob of Mexicans.

My suggestion is to talk with one of the guards before the autograph session even begins.

He signed my friend's hundred dollar bill on the spot, lol

I've read gloves will be 10 ounces, which would be standard for anything over 147.

Besides the Garcia/Matthysse clash, I'm also hearing Broner/Maidana thrown around. The have been saying this will be the biggest undercard ever. Than, throw in possibly Trout/Rasade, and the Ishe Smith/Carlos Molina fight might be rescheduled to this day also.

Why are so many people crying about the $65 PPV price? $5 raise from the norm and people are crying.

5 bucks, you're not making life decisions. If you have cable, and then the premium packages, 5 bucks shouldn't be nothin.

I don't see an undercard of Garcia/Matthysse and Broner/Maidana. If there was a PPV event with those two fights as the co-main events, I'd probably spend $65 on those alone.

As undercards? That would be insane. Throwing in Trout/Rasade, Molina/Smith would make it the most stacked PPV event in the history of boxing by a wide margin. Very wide margin. I can't think of anything that even comes close.

Although, check this out for the Tyson/Lewis undercards...

Manny Pacquiao KO2 Jorge Eliecer Julio
Joel Casamayor KO8 Juan Jose Arias
Jeff Lacy KO2 Kevin Hall
Cornelius Bundrage UD Anthony Bowman

Still not close, but a lot of talent on that card.

People have been crying about boxing PPV prices forever. De La Hoya vs Trinidad was $50 all you heard was a bunch of whining, a few years later Trinidad fought against Hopkins for $45 and still all you heard was complaining.

It's like the promoters got so fed up, they don't care if anyone cries or whines anymore. The boy who cried wolf in a way.

i don't really mind the price as long as the undercard is strong...but it is very misleading for the promoters to announce it at $65 when for HD it is $75...this isn't the 90's.
