HBO/Top Rank/Bob Arum are doing Guillermo Rigondeaux dirty.

HBO said they are not televising his next match, really. He is basically the undisputed champ at 122, destroyed Nonito Donaire badly, yet Nonito will be headlining an HBO event in November as he faces, Vic Darchinyan. The same Darchinyan he knocked out in 5 rounds in 2007.

The same one that he has been ducking for years and decides to only take it due to Darchinyan's age.

Arum is still pissed because he wanted Nonito to be his next Manny Pacquiao, but got clowned in NYC.

Donaire needs to move up anyway.

Winner'll get Rigo, no doubt.

I'm just hoping Darchinyan pulls an upset like Donaire did 6 years ago. Does have the power, but father time has caught up to him. He didn't look too sharp against Javier Gallo.

LOL HBO turns down lots of fights that they don't think are worthy of televising. Theyve turned down Kiltchko fights in the past and they are HW Kings. This isn't out of the norm. Has nothing to do with Top Rank/Arum doing him "dirty" . Why wouldn't Arum want his own fighter on TV? He works with HBO, he doesn't run them.

just because you thought Nonito could be the next Manny doesn't mean anyone else did

Young manny Pacquiao has a better resume than Nonito. A 24/25 Pacquiao already fought and defeated top 3 pound for pound fighter during that time Marco Antonio Barrera.

But his five previous fights before he destroyed Arums future cash cow were broadcast on the HBO network ...

The Klitchko thing I think is different. They really have no competition, they just beat down there opponents. The last Klitchko fight was what, with Chris Areola I think. With Rigo, they can make plenty of interesting fights and we won't know how it's going to end. We know how a Klitschko fight is going to end. But how would Rigo vs. Mikey Garcia end? Chris John? Ponce De Leon? ect.

True. If you're 6'4"+, 220 lb+ and athletic you're trying to get into the NFL

Action from earlier today.

-Kell Brook defeated Carson Jones for the 2nd time in a year. He did it more convincingly and in 8 rounds this time.

-WBA and IBO Light Welterweight Champ Khabib Allakhverdiev defeated Souleymane M’baye in 5 rounds.

(both should be gettin' step up comp later this year as both had 2 high profile matches canceled do to injury. Brook with Devon Alexander and Khabib with Bredis Prescott.)

-Edwin Rodriguez destroyed Denis Grachev in one round. Look for some good match-ups at 168 for him.

-----
After almost a month, the premium channels will be back in the next weeks with some high profile fights.
-----
Also, in the next week or so, look for Broner vs. Maidana (possibly on the Mayweather-Canelo undercard) and Adonis Stevenson vs. Tavoris to be made official. Look for Andre Ward, Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero, Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara, Peter Quillin, Shane Mosley, Amir Khan, Yorkis Gamboa to all have opponents named. Great first half of a year for boxing, and the next half looks to be as promising or even stronger!

July and August are pretty shitty in terms of boxing.

If the most intriguing match is Cleverly/Kovalev, you know it's going to be a long summer.

Watch out for the July 27 card on Showtime, Knockout Kings II. If you knock your opponent out, you get a bonus added to your check. So they will be gunning that night.

The next fight I'm really looking forward to is Thurman/Chaves.

This is a good tough match-up. The winner will be #1 contender for WBA strap. So that's wither a fight with Broner coming up soon or Maidana if Broner decides on something else besides Maidana. Thurman should move up to 154 after this match-up though.

It's 3 total mismatches though. KO's are always cool, but I have a higher standard for HBO/Showtime.

Or if not elite talent, give us a main event where you know that both fighters will go 100% like Maidana vs. Lopez. JSK is a legit warrior, but Berto is a bitch.
