This is how I envision the Sugar Ray Robinson and Floyd Mayweather fight. Floyd might win some rounds, but a solid left hook from the GOAT would knock him out cold. SRR was the best 147 and 154 pounder.
what? I disagree. Trout couldn't do anything serious.
Canelo played with him. The commentary was terrible.
Like ****ing Malignaggi who thought Trout won Round 8 after he got knocked down...
115-112 or 116-111 as a stretch Canelo. The knockdown put him over the top. He fought in patches, Trout backed him up on many occasions and his defense was good as Trout missed a lot. Trout just couldn't land a big enough shot to really worry Canelo. 118-109 was simply ridiculous, that scorecard shows a one sided fight and i certainly did not see that..
That being said, if ur a guy who likes power punches, i could see more rounds in Canelo's favor. Trout is a hell of a fighter. Probably the most interesting potential opponent to Mayweather in with guy anytime soon. I'm not sure anyone else can beat Trout I was really impressed.. alittle treaking here and there..and it would have been Trout who won the fight. I thought Trout was the smarter fighter, but power won out this time.
Against Mayweather, Canelo will not get away with fighting in spurts and his defence will not save him either, Mayweather will punch holes through it like Swiss cheese.
I know Money claims he doesn't watch films of his opponents and stated he has only seen one of Canelo's fights. I have to believe that the Trout fight was the one he was referring to.
