You can't win fights and impress judges with by running and holding when the going gets tough. I like seeing a stalker though and was pleased to see Peterson warm to the role. He fought like the hungry fighter and was being spoiled all the time. He wanted to fight, Khan didn't seem to.
I'm not stating that Peterson was the clear winner, but he was clearly the aggressor.
I thought Peterson was the clear winner tonight. That was some very effective aggressiveness on his part. Khan was throwing a lot of slaps and basically just running in the last half of the fight. It wasn't a strategic counter-punching retreat like we saw with JMM against Pacquiao. Khan was just flat-out trying to kill time.
It was a tremendous fight and I'd love to see a rematch.
