I don't know why Khan tried to brawl. He needs to stick and move with that chin.

It's like the year of upsets...or bet cheats. So many favorites lost.

First Pac, then Ortiz, then now Khan.

I remember Khan being touted as the next big thing in boxing, then came the Prescott fight. I don't believe he ever mentally recovered from that fight, because all it takes is one big shot, and he's back on queer street again. The chin just isn't there, and he writes checks with his mouth that his ass can't cover. I never liked hearing him talk and always thought he was overrated, tonight once again proved that.

Another overhyped HBO prodigy that fizzles

Kahn is the real deal, he just makes some very small mistakes like staying inside too much and abusing his talent of speed, which get him in trouble. He was outboxing the shit of Danny the first 2 rounds, and got too carried away. The Fight could have easily been 120-108 but this is boxing one punch can change the fight and that is what happened. He got caught, and got back up 3 times which I already expcted because dude has heart which he had showed already in the Maidana fight. Hopefully he can come back and stop trying to brawl and crowd please for his sake(not for us, dude got ktfo ) because he can easily outbox 97% of the 140 and 147 division right now

Khan is basically this era's Diego Corrales. A guy with physical tools and athletic advantages over his competition and gifted with a large frame for his weight, but has an aversion to using those advantages in a technical way and tends to be drawn into wild brawls that pretty much cancel out said advantages.

Those things make him a fun fighter to watch, but they also limit how good he can become. Both guys also had/have a penchant for being knocked down a bunch.

I remember everyone saying about Chico, "Why doesn't he just use his jab, stay on the outside and win against these smaller fighters easily?" The answer was, he just couldn't do it. He didn't have the mental fortitude to stick with a gameplan like that and when really pushed, his pride/ego wouldn't allow him to remain focused.

Khan is basically the same guy... Fun to watch, but he'll never be a truly great fighter... Much to HBO (and Lampley's) chagrin. How badly did Lampley want him to win tonight? Even when he was getting bludgeoned around the ring, Jim tried to stick to the script. He actually tried to say that Khan had gone from being "finished" to "dominating" the fourth round. What the hell does this guy watch when he goes to the fights? He lives in a fantasy world where he sees what he wants.

The most unprofessional hack in the business.

Pretty much agree with this and what others have said. Dude's ego gets in the way and he is mentally weak. You can't brawl when you have a weak chin. I think it is obvious Roach isn't the trainer to get him to shape up and probably isn't one out there. Until Khan swallows that pride some and let his natural talents and skill dictate how he fights [and stick to a damn game plan] he is always going to be the exciting fighter who will at times end up on the side of getting ko'd against a guy with skill, heart and power.

Stupid thing is I think he let home boys loud mouth dad get in his head.

Broner is only 22 so he is still very much an immature, self centered, egotistical little asshole. Surprised a little bit he has so many children at such a young age. His shit head attitude toward making weight and fake marriage proposal at the end of the fight didn't exactly endear him to the American audience. But, I figure he wants to go the villain route and piss white America off and what not. Worked wonders for Floyd in terms of $$$. Anyway Broner performed well and patiently picked Escobedo apart. Escobedo gave hints he didn't want to be there before the fight and was just there for a paycheck and his corner throwing the towel in so early seemed to confirm that. Thought Escobedo had an excellent jab and was getting some good body work in, but didn't seem to discourage Broner much.

I thought the ref and Escobedo's corner made the right decision to end the fight. He was getting wrecked when they did it and it was only going to get worse.
