Boxing is about far more than just lining up very basic measurables and making sweeping conclusions based on them. Sugar Ray Leonard had the same kind of "physical advantages" over Duran aside from punching power and he handled SRL in a way that no other fighter did during Leonard's prime years.
Why? The reason is, despite very sweeping generalizations based on the way he chose to fight, Duran had great handspeed and accuracy to go along with his "hands of stone." Also, he was fundamentally sound a lot of the time despite his brawling nature. He wasn't like a Manny Pacquiao who constantly leaves himself open for counters and relies on athleticism to overcome technique. Duran was as technically sound as a fighter can be when incorporating that style.
But, on top of everything else... Great talent, technique, incredibly heavy hands, great chin, etc... Duran's aura and, frankly, his very raw meanness showed in just about every fight that he ever entered into. It wasn't a game to him, nor was it all about money or creating a legacy... He genuinely despised his opponents and he wanted to kill them in a real, sort of scary way if he is standing in front of you.
So, yes... Stylistically, it would be a pretty fascinating bout. But, Duran in his prime was a flat-out monster and that goes way beyond his legacy or whatever. If you are asking me whether or not I would favor Floyd Mayweather at, say 135, over Duran at the same weight? No, I would not.
If Jose Luis Castillo gave Floyd fits at that weight (which he did in both fights), Duran would be a very steep hill to climb.
