As much as I loved these two fights, I'd love to see how these guys do against the other 140 pounders like Peterson, Matthyse, Garcia, and maybe even Broner.

Hell yeah, I say make them all fight each other. Might as well throw in Bradley, Prov, Khan, and even Zab for sh*ts and giggles! F*ck it, bring in Marquez and Manny too!!! I'm dreaming, but that would be so epic.

Shame on Broner for ducking under this and fighting Pauly.

He's not ducking, guys 140-147 fight all the time. Broner went to Pauli for the belt and he was the only fighter 140-147 that was available.

Let's see:

140
Danny Garcia = booked
Lucas Matthysse = booked
Lamont Peterson = wont fight and if so, booked
Amir Khan = booked
Rios = booked when Broner moved up
Zab = booked vs Garcia
Juan Manuel Marquez = booked
Alverado = booked with Rios
Olusegun Ajose = ???
Khabib Allakhverdiev = hurt

147
Mayweather = wont fight and if so, booked
Juan Manuel Marquez = booked
Manny Pacquiao = on hiatus
Timothy Bradley = was booked
Robert Guerrero = booked vs Mayweather
Devon Alexander = booked vs Kell Brook
Josesito Lopez = booked vs Maidana
Victor Ortiz = booked
Paulie Malignaggi = DING, DING, DING. He has a belt and was available.
Keith Thurman = younger than Broner. Broner has nothin to gain right now from fighting him.

I had Broner goin against Brandon Rios next. But with Rios losing tonight, it changes everything. Rios was not supposed to lose. HE's much more marketable than Mike Alvarado and had a perfect record to go against Broner's perfect record.

Who's Marquez booked against? Thurman would have been a decent fight. He's already gotten some exposure on HBO.

Broner knows there's no chance he'll lose to Paulie, one of the weakest punchers.

Good breakdown, I'm not saying that Broner is scared or that he's not going to fight them eventually, but it looks like Broner got some good business advice from Floyd.

He's fighting in Mexico can't remember who though, not a known name. I guess just someone to keep him fresh to get ready for JMM/Pacman 5 or someone like Bradley later in the year.

And, you don't put Thurman and Broner together now. You make something like that 2-3 years down the line if they are both still undefeated.

The Paulie fight was a smart fight for Broner. Paulie is a big name, has a belt, a vet, it's taking place in Brooklyn his hometown. It's perfect for Broner coming out party as they are tryin to make him into the next cash cow.

Broner would have easily fought Danny Garcia is available.

Rios and Alvarado are great fighters no disrespect to them, but I don't think they can beat Peterson and Matthyse. Peterson is a HUGE light welter with a great chin and his body attack would spell nightmares for both.

Matthyse is a whole other story. He's skilled boxer puncher with vicious power . I think he would KO Alvarado and might even stop Rios. Matthyse is P4P one of the hardest punchers in boxing right now, and Rios and Alvarado get hit.......a lot.

Another fight of the year candidate. Rios and Alvarado put on a show.

I love to see Adrien Broner vs. Terrence Crawford at 135/140 lbs.
