How do the corners know the scorecard during the fight?? Is that normal in boxing?

It was a very even fight. Canelo landed more solid shots but was very inactive at times.

i didn't have him winning big. just can't see an argument for Trout winning.

Yeah me too, I think this is what separated the fighters in this fight.

So, what is next for each fighter?

Both should move up in weight I think. No one else really left to fight at 154 for them, though Canelo wanted to fight Miguel Cotto.

Trout should have thrown more power punches. He was expecting a completely different fighter according to him.

Canelo got cornered numerous times and used only his head to avoid the punches, that was awesome to see. He has mad power but I think he got tired very quickly. At this stage I think he wouldn't do anything to Mayweather.

Sergio Martinez would destroy both.

Cotto is damaged goods. The only thing Saul may gain is beating Cotto in a more impressive fashion than Floyd in hopes of a future bout with him (even though fight between common opponents are exaggerated and meaningless)

Trout (26-1, 14 knockouts) connected on 154 of 769 punches, according to punch stats. Alvarez was 124 of 431.

Trout doesn't seem to have power, or at least didn't work on it during his training camp.

This is my first time seeing Trout fight.

Canelo/Chavez Jr and Trout/Sergio to set up Canelo/Sergio.

Chavez won't make 154. He's huge. I don't think Canelo is ready to move up. He'd be a really small MW. There are still guys at 154 he could face like Angulo, and Lara. Even Golovkin said he could make 154.
