Martinez is done. He's looked like absolute shit his last 3-4 fights. Sucks that he started boxing so late and so his prime was very short.

I got it 7 to 5 Danny. Judah should have fought like that the whole fight.

Yep, he let Garcia dictate the pace and the fight for most of the evening, I think after he got rocked/wobbled he realized he had to pick up the intensity. Sucks for him though, this fight was winnable.

Can't wait to see Matthyse knock Danny out after he puts Peterson away.

History says Matthysse will knock Peterson around the ring but get robbed. He should have Ws against Zab and Alexander.

And Zab started out way too cautiously. Good to see he didn't fold and give up after facing adversity as usual though, probably the home crowd. Good fight overall.

Not at all impressed with Garcia though.

Boxing has been on a tear this year and continued with another stellar event from Brooklyn, and across the globe.

The best fights of the night took place on Showtime, as they came up the winner in a battle with HBO (IMO.)

What's next for all of the fighters involved?

Zab put up a great effort, but it wasn't enough to overcome young Dan Garcia. Garcia will face the winner of the Peterson/Matthysee winner which happens May 22, also on Showtime. Zab proved himself that's he's not goin anywhere anytime soon. Maybe he can fight Paul Malignaggi in a Brooklyn/Do The Right Thing battle later this year.

Kid Chocolate remained undefeated, not sure who he can face next.

Amir Khan, was unimpressive as usual, getting knocked on his ass in a UD win from his hometown. He is supposed to get the winner of Garcia vs Peterson/Matthysse.

Sergio Martinez, also in his hometown showed his age. Winning an unimpressive bout vs. Martin Murray. He needs to fight Gennady Golovkin next.

Chris Arrealo f-n sucks. Why are they pushing him so hard? Oh, he also lost.

Zab strong in the second half

I feel like Judah had him hurt and could have knocked him out! But that's Zab, he didn't look disappointed. He was glad to be a part of this event. lol

but I admit, he did better than I expected!

Default Re: All Purpose Boxing Discussion Thread

I was at the Barclays Center last night. It's a really good venue to watch a fight. Danny is a strong puncher. I though he did a good job of opening Zab up by nailing him with body punches.

Zab is such a talented fighter. He just never seems to be able to put it all together. But he did clearly won the last 3 rounds.

Kid Chocolate has a lot of power. The fans really love him there too. Time to step up in competition though.

There was only one fight in the crowd last night.
