Current Heat is better than the 2005 and 2006 Heat.

And the 2005 Heat had those same 5 starting Pistons beat 3 games to 2 in the ECF before Wade got injured in that series. Wade doesn't get hurt in that series = easy series win and another title for Wade.

And in 06 the Heat and Wade wiped the floor with those Pistons in the ECF in 6 games. Those Pistons in 06 had a franchise record 65 wins in 2006, they were awesome and the overwhelming favorite to win the title that year in 06.

This current Heat team is definitely better than the 2006 Heat team.. better offensively, better defensively, and just as good or better in rebounding.. all the data on those offenses and defenses totally favors the 2011 Heat

So 2011 Heat >> 2004 Pistons

Pistons had longer arms and rangy players who could do what this Miami team is doing better than they can.. Plus they had Ben Wallace eating up the boards.. they have Sheed inside and out... they had Rip running thru screens like reggie miller and they had tayshaun locking folks down... didnt they have McDyess too? Billups..

That 04 team was straight nasty

well thats the kind of rule that those guys on that Pistons team will have to play today right?

Great players will always shine. I dont see both Wade and Lebron being completely shut down in entire series at the same time.

The 2004 Pistons are all in their 30's now, and Sheed is retired. Definately take the 2011 Heat.

Does Sheed go into the post or hang out at the three point line? That would be the key to the entire series.
