lol, where is this incredibel size? he had no such problems against a much bigger lakers team. come on now, he had a few good looks, he just has to make them!
He has the size, length and athleticism that Barea lacks though. Barea is just outmatched agaist Miami's incredible size and athelticism
But wait a damn minute here..
all regular season long the haters were saying how Miami can't defend quick point guards.. and that teams with those types of players would kill miami in the playoffs.
I completely forgot about Beaubois. Is he healthy and on the bench right now? How much did he even play this season?
Normally I wouldn't consider messing with the chemistry of the team but Barea has really been struggling against this defense. Beaubois could do a better job of guarding Chalmers and if I remember correctly he's a good 3 point shooter.

what happened?
you are over-rating Barea. Portland completely shut him down as well.
He had two great matchups against the Thunder and Lakers.
This is closer to the normal Barea than those series. There is a reason why he plays like 18 minutes a game.
Maybe people will finally see why this Mavs supporting cast is not nearly as good as they got hyped up to be. Peja/Terry/Barea/Kidd have been basically useless in this series.
Idk, but I would trust Carsile will make the right choice. He's the guy seeing him in practice, not us. But I will say this: guards like Barea/Roddy gave Miami fits in the regular season , and while they've done good so far in the playoffs (w Rose), with Dirk getting so much attention, maybe one of those guys can get some offense going.

They were great in the regular season and in the playoffs up to this point. Just because they've struggled against the best defense in the league for 3 games doesn't mean they aren't one of the best supporting casts in the league.
Umm.. I've always been wondering about Beaubois. Is he THAT good like what Cuban claims him to be?
Career ~8ppg, and Mavs fans call him future hall of famer and better than Wade, even better than Dirk I have heard before. At best, he;s not even Bobby Jackson. Dude scored 41 once and has been living of the residual from that ever since. I don't think it would be a bad idea to give it a look neccessarily, since Barea's run 20 pick and rolls then go down the lane for a floater (and flop defensively) tactics aren't working anymore, but to answer your question no he isn't nearly as good as anyone in Dallas thinks.
As many have said, they should be playing Brewer more, especially instead of Peja. Peja could maybe play if you play him WITH Dirk since he can't create his own shot and that's all he is good for is shooting, but they are putting him in to spell Dirk 3 minutes here and there and Miami just looks at him and starts laughing and goes on scoring runs.
I don't know why they insist the Kidd/Wade matchup either like that's working. Put Stevenson, or again Brewer on him. Kidd is getting raped.

I don't think they were great all year. I think they were good....definitely not great.
And definitely not one of the best unless you include teams past number 5 as the best.
Celtics/Bulls/Lakers/Heat/Thunder all definitely had better supporting casts around their best player this year.
