Re: Ray Allen exercises option to play for Celtics in 2011-12
Ray has made ALOT of money.....2 big MAx contracts, no divorce, and business ventures.. Doc Rivers has taken this team like his sons... Celtics are a family...
Ray is tough to trade....Because he would kill us just like hes killed other teams. MIA,CHI,OKC,MEM,etc... Id rather see him retire in BOS.
I think BOS is just one athletic PF and young(22-25) year old athletic 2 guard with good size to be back in the thick of things.
If Delonte can play like he did in MIA series for the season...2guard is good.

I believe Ray is one of few players who are not going after money, but after loyalty, competition and improving their game as much as they can. I barely remember a player in mid 30's who is running all game like Allen does. Guy is training every day, he has not eaten even one hamburger according to himself. Have you seen his body?! Its on incredible degree of condition. He will always be my favourite player just because of playing the game of basketball with such passion since his rookie days.
Re: Ray Allen exercises option to play for Celtics in 2011-12
Well as a Celtics fan and it being my favorite player i'm all for it. I'm almost positive though that if this season goes poorly he will be traded...Ray is going to be a player who even after this season has at least 2 to 3 seasons more...and if it all goes wrong for us in Boston I could easily see him traded away before this deadline (barring the lock out)....and on that notion if there is a lock out than the Celtics will most definitely go for one last run anyway, so next season is definitely up in arms...

last hurray ... celtics just need to have a established C. i dont know if jermain oneal can be healthy and play the same. KG is still quite good but this maybe his last year. I am hoping Green can be like a james posey type. i think the celtics just need a jeremy tyler i am sure he will learn alot from KG.
