Re: LeBron James's brutal last four-and-a-half-minutes of Game 5
Yeah, but if they pull if off, Wade will get all the credit all the credit because he won Finals MVP. And people will be talking nonsense about how James is the side-kick even though it's clearly a 1a/1b situation.
Re: LeBron James's brutal last four-and-a-half-minutes of Game 5
All you need to know is that if LeBron played like his usual self, the series would be OVER. I'm not even asking him to raise his level of play, just maintain what he did throughout the season and it's a wrap. Hell, even in that game 2 comeback for Dallas, he took some questionable shots down the stretch and we couldn't buy a bucket. Wade, of course, didn't get to see the ball and was out of rhythm by the time he was asked to make plays.

For Dwight Howard? Yes.
This season isn't even over yet, but I'm already markedly less enthusaiastic about next year. What's the suspense? Will Wade get first team All-NBA and defense, or will he get screwed again?
Yawn. I want championships, and I'm not convinced this Heat team will win them as constructed. Chicago's gonna have a SG next year. Howard may go somewhere else to play with other stars. Chris Paul could join Melo and Amare in NY. And out west, if we can't handle Dallas this year, how in the world will we deal with OKC's athleticism-- if they take over as some expect-- when we'll be a year older and they'll be a year better?
... is the talk of Dirk's greatness. There's a lot more people that hate Lebron and the Heat and their are people that love Dirk and the Mavs. But he's really putting together a great run, one that once completed, will go a great way to solidifying his legacy.
-Greatest Euro player ever
-10X NBA All-star
-4X All-NBA first team
-5X All-NBA second team
-2X All-NBA third team
-1X MVP
-1X FIBA MVP
-2X Western Conference Champion
-One of the greatest scorers of all time
And hopefully soon to tack on, 1X NBA Champion and 1X Finals MVP
He's had an amazing and long career. And I hope he gets appreciated the way he should when it's all said and done.

To be fair, in DRob's WORST playoff series (against Hakeem), he played SIGNIFICANTLY better than LeBron did in BOTH of his Finals appearances, and in that awkward Celtics series.
LeBron's got 3 key bad series (we're seeing the 3rd now), DRob has 1 that stands out, and a minor 2nd one in 1998 while playing through a nagging injury the season after he came back from the big injury.
LeBron's career playoff numbers are higher, but he's only played half a career, and his overall efficiency has still been low. Including two whole playoff runs shooting just 41%. So that's 1/3rd of the time, LeBron shoots 41% for the whole playoffs. DRob has done that 1/6 appearances (both was just the first round, not extending 2-3 rounds). . .so half as often, and over less series.
